Weathers good and looks good

Ive had my GUM sidewall C638s a year now, and they dont show weather cracks like others Ive had. They have a nice appearance on my old 10 Speed White/Gold color. They did well for me in a heavy misty rain during an hour long ride. I use a Generator Light and although the Gens roller is worn the tire doesnt show any wear. Ive just ordered a back-up pair.

Cheap but gets the job done

These tires are very thin, and I doubt Id try riding on them in the rain. However, for the somewhat obscure 26 X 1/38 size theyre a bargain.

Good traction

I live in the mountains, and this tire has good traction in downhill curves. The tire compound seems to be made of a soft nylon, so I am not sure yet how long they would wear. For the price and a hard to find size 26 x 1 3/8", it is a good value for the money.

If you must have this size...

Decent tire for cruisers or casual tour bikes. Not overly high quality, but then this size is rare. You can find better quality elsewhere in this size, but nowhere near this price. Not a bad idea to use a tire-liner with this brand. Bottom line: the best tire is the tire that lets you ride when you otherwise wouldnt. So this tire is decent.
