Gives very good performance     On: 2007-06-28

I have used this bike light during dark night, riding singles, and found the light its giving simply amazing.
Its battery last for 2 hours, and showed no signs that its going to drain.
The 15W/10W/25W mode was very helpfull, and most of the ride I used only the wide 10W light, which gave excelent light.
Why 4 stars and not 5? Since the body of the light is made of thin metal, and when I dropped down the light body once, it distorted a little.

This is a good quality product. The lamps are bright, and have good clear beams (not SureFire perfect, but pretty clean. There arent too many ripples and dark spots that can be so distracting)

The switch is four position: wide angle, both, spot, off. I do wish there were two switches instead, but thats minor. Its a pretty light touch, so you dont feel like youre going to turn the bike every time you press the button.

The light itself is pretty small; about the size of two decks of cards stacked up. Very light too. Good long cable so theres no worry about getting it from your cage to the handle bars. My cage is on the underside of the bottom tube, and theres still cable to spare.

Be aware that when you get the box, it may say Ni-Cad on it instead of the NiMH that you paid for. When I contacted the seller, they said that the Ni-Cad is no longer manufactured, but theyre still using the old boxes. Theres supposed to be a sticker on the box, but mine was unmarked. Check the battery itself; it should be marked NiMH.

Mounting is easy, and has a decent range of adjustment. Even though Ive got the light on a twist in the handlebar, I can still get it to point straight ahead with no problem.

Overall, no problems and Im very satisfied. I dont know if this would be bright enough for offroading in the dark, where you have to see every detail of the ground ahead perfectly, but for street riding its outstanding. Im lighting up street signs from at least two hundred yards. Worth the money.

Ride safe and enjoy.
