Band will eventually break

The band on this watch will break. This is because the metal-to-plastic resin which connects the plastic band to te metal face wears off eventually-no matter how lightly the watch is used. Even under the lightest usage, at least on band will just fall off within 12-13 months. Because of this, I now bought the Nike Triax Fury model. Its band seems to be a unitary one from one end to the other (no glue!). If you want a Nike watch like this, get one of the Fury models.

poor design

Hard/impossible to get to the short-lived battery. Strap breaks easily & attached poorly. Black background is very hard to read. Domed "crystal" is prone to scratch. Garbage in under a year. Ill never buy a Nike watch again.

What was Nike thinking?

I have to agree with the other reviews about the watch display on the W0085-004 model, the white letters on a black background are just awful to read. The watch features are just fine and I paid almost nothing for my watch, so Ill be keeping it. If the price Id paid had been any higher it would be going back. If theyd made the reversed display a user settable option Id give it a sure 4 stars (the numbers are still ugly)

Can't read the numbers.

Dont buy the black on black model. You cant see the numbers in the dial. It looks cool, but is very irritating. Im taking mine back.

Too hard to see

I bought this watch for a decent price and because I like the angled Nike design. It makes it easy to see while running or biking because you dont have to rotate your hand as much. It is loaded with various funtions of which I really loved the ease of setup, dual time zone and easy switching between both, multiple alarms, multiple chronograph and timer (called interval by Nike) functions. In terms of functions, I loved this watch. These are the pros.
Now the con: I really have to squint to see the time. It is too hard to tell the digits compared to my Timex Marathon or to any of my other watches, including non-digital ones. I tried different lighting conditions and different viewing angles. Trying to tell the time on this watch is even more difficult when looked at an angle which is other than about 90 from the eyes. There is a setting for contrast but it didnt help me.
The concept of a black watch with a black background was very appealing from a fashion point of view but since the ultimate purpose is a practical one, I now regret the purchase. I plan to return it to the store for a refund and to see if they have Nike Triax with black digits on a gray background.
