I have used Looks, Speedplays, Times, and SPDs over the past fifteen years, so my comments on the Quattros are in comparison to those.
Strengths
--Very good platform. Feels solid when climbing or sprinting
--Excellent release
--Good looking
--Moderately priced compared to other clipless pedals
--Metal cleats so they should last longer than Looks
--Cleats come with a snap-on U shaped plastic guard which gives some limited walkability without having to carry separate cleat covers
--Uses the same cleats as Crank Brothers MTB pedals so the same shoes could be used for both.
Weaknesses
--Difficult engagement. Crank Brothers describes them as "step and go" but after using them for a couple of weeks, Im still having a very difficult time getting clipped in. And Im pretty experienced with clipless pedals. Im sure Ill get better at it, but there is IS a steep learning curve so I would not recommend the Quattros so someone just starting with clipless pedeals. Unlike Looks, they are dual sided.
--Not the lightest weight (if an ounce or two matters)
--Made in Taiwan (I prefer North American/European/Japanese components when possible)
