I wouldnt walk a couple miles in these things, but they look stylish enough that they wouldnt be out of place on the boardwalk or walking to class. Sole seems firm enough, although this is only my second pair of bike shoes (and first pair of SPD shoes).
Im not sure if this is a manufacture flaw or not, but the cleat sticks out past the tread on the shoe, so they click on asphalt and concrete (and would probably destroy hardwood floors).
Also, I heard some issues with shoe width. I wear 10.5-D and got the 45s. They seem just wide enough and the shoe fits well otherwise. Although, like I said, I wouldnt walk a couple miles in these things!
