Great BPA free Water Bottle     On: 2008-06-13

I have been very happy with these water bottles. I was a little hesitant because people in previous reviews said they had a really bad plastic/smell taste. I washed them in the dishwasher and there is no odor or weird taste and I am usually sensitive to those types of things.

I used the bottle yesterday, cycling in 95 degrees for over an hour and my drink was still cool. In a normal water bottle, my drink would have been hot and not very refreshing. Great product.

I bought this water bottle two weeks ago and I couldnt be happier. The size is perfect and it does keep liquids cold for much longer than other bottles Ive tried. I usually put water in it the night before, place it in the freezer and the next morning its nice and chilled and the bottle doesnt sweat, just as a previous reviewer said. I have not had any weird tastes and Im using this bottle all day, every day. I take it to the gym with me and it fits perfectly into the cage of the spinning bikes at my gym. Then I take it to work with me, fill it up again with water from the cooler (without ice) and it keeps the water cold for at least one hour. When I get home I wash it, and repeat the process for the next day. Anyone who likes to drink cold, fresh water all day and doesnt want to waste paper or plastic cups should get this bottle.

Im sorry, but I cant let this great water bottle sit out there with a one-star review. My family of four has used these bottles for years, with excellent results. We fill them with ice and water and they stay cold a long time, with little or no sweating. We have never noticed a plastic taste, but then, we washed them before use. It may not fit in a bottle cage, but its great for walking, in the car, in your pack, on a plane... Highly recommended.

This is a great water bottle and its slim enough to fit a small hand. I found no smell in the bottle and the mouth is large enough to easily fill it with ice.

These bottles are all my family uses. To the other reviewers who have posted that this bottle leaches chemicals, I would ask that they do a little research before posting. First, you should wash the bottles in your dishwasher or hot water before using, this is just common sense and will remove any plastic odor (though I have never noticed any). These bottles are made from LDPE#4, which according to multiple studies, does NOT leach toxic chemicals into your water. On the other hand, Lexan, ie Polycarbonate ie Nalgene bottles have been shown to leach Bisphenol-A or BPA into water. You can feel safe buying and drinking from these bottles made of FDA approved LDPE#4.

I LOVE this water bottle. You can completely fill it with ice but never have to deal with condensation. In addition to it being my constant companion at the gym, I use it throughout my day. I drink a lot more water now because of it. I highly recommend it!

As far as the thermal aspect of this product, it added a bit to the length of time my water was kept cold (I start with filtered/refrigerated water). Dont by any means expect a thermos here.

Also, it never really fit properly into my water bottle cage on
my bicycle. Whether this is a bottle unusually stout, or a cage unusually narrow I cannot say, but I always had to press a bit to make it fit.

Bottom line: Does it really matter how cold your water is, if it is all the while absorbing a nasty chemical taste (IE: molecules) from the plastic which holds it?

Every time I took a drink out of this thing, for some reason I kept thinking about Chinese toys.

The inside of this bottle emits very strong plastic smell, which to me indicates a lot of leaching. I wish they made a bottle out of lexan (or other non-leaching policarb), AND insulated, AND the right size for a bicycle bottle cage.

I got two of these bottles for using at the gym. They stay ICE cold!! The first time we used them we filled them w/ ice at home and planned on filling them w/ water once we got to the gym. Something came up and we didnt end up going to the gym so our ice filled Polar bottles sat on the counter. About 5 hours later, I realized they were still sitting there and I opened them up to dump the melted ice out......I can tell you, there was not much water to pour out because it was mostly all still ice!! I couldnt believe it! Now, when we take them to the gym, we usually just fill them up at the water cooler and it stays nice and cold. You will not be disappointed w/ this water bottle! Oh, by the way, I dont think the picture shows, but it has a handle ring thing around the neck to carry it by. That is handy when youre walking.

I ordered a Red, Polar, 24 ounce, Insulated Water Bottle for my young son to use during school, as it is not air conditioned and we have been having a major heatwave for a long time now. This product does EXACTLY what it advertises. After a six-hour day in stellar heat, the water is still cold and fresh. We have already washed it many times by hand and in the dishwasher and there is still no sign of wear and tear at all. My husband and I are going to order two for ourselves!

I used the bottle a few times and came to the conclusion that in 96 degree temperatures it just wasnt what I had in mind. It may be 24 oz where another one I have is 16, but the 16 oz one STAYS cold while this one sacrifices insulation for the extra 8 ounces of water. I wouldnt recommend this one unless you live in Canada!

This is the best water bottle, ever, for keeping the drink inside it, Cold. Even after hours on the beach this bottle keeps its promise to ensure a cold drink. In 4-5 hours the drink, in our case water, is almost at room temperatute but that is still good.
We first fill it with ice cubes and then with cold water and it work very well. The shape is good too, it has an easy grip and pours nicely into ones mouth. If it had a loop handle like the smaller bottle, this one would be perfect.

I ordered 4 of these bottles based on reviews but find that they are extremely poor at keeping beverages cold for more than 30 minutes. I then tried putting them in the freezer filled but that only added 15 minutes, just the time it takes to thaw. Save your money.

They are very well made and you can tell the first time you pop the top that theyre very good quality, not like the $2.00 ones you can buy at most mass merchandisers. Weve bought a few of the cheapie ones over the years and I would much rather pay a few dollars more and have a nice quality water bottle that you can continue to use for more than a few months.

Two of the 5 bottles I purchased leak the liquid on me when I drank from it. Ive tried to reposition and make sure the top is securely twisted on but this did not seam work and still leaks.
