![]() Bell Impulse Bike Helmet By: Bell Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 4 More Information Ugly but functional (+) Functional Adjustable (-) Thick Ugly Fragile bill connections Poor ventilation My head is large and appears to be even more so when I wear this helmet. Here, the blessing of the Bell Impulse is also its curse. Sure, Im not worried if my head hits the curb, but I feel like Im losing so much of the engineered aerodynamics of my Trek 850 when I wear this helmet! Plus, when Im riding into wind or down a steep hill, I literally have to push the bill down (seems to be somewhat of a design flaw - my bills connection to the helmet broke the first day I had it). While containing many holes, this helmet does not provide very good ventilation (expect to sweat when youre riding). Altogether, this is not a sexy helmet - it is neither cool in a physical or metaphorical sense, but its a functional steal at less than 30 bucks (hard to find an adult size helmet for much less than that). Its not extremely heavy and it protects your noggin. saved my head! This helmet does everything its supposed to do! I flipped over my handlebars last week going 15-20 mph. Landed right on my head. My chin, hands, arm, and shoulder are pretty messed up, but my head is fine! Nice cheap helmet, pretty easy to adjust, and does its job. I bought another one to replace the first one cause I know it will work. Great Fit ... excellent ... I use it on my commuter bike on some very busy roads with lot of lights/turns. With NJ, USA Drivers ... I really need this helmet and I am satisfied with it as it generic fit is a perfect size helmet for most of the riders. You can buy a helmet without trying it on They arent kidding. You really can adjust this helmet to fit your head. Assuming you arent a circus freak. I did some research on Consumer Reports and bicycle websites and chose this model and bought it direct from Amazon. It takes time to adjust, but follow their instructions and see info online on how to fit a helmet right and this one is a winner. |
