Instructions and owners manual not very user friendly. Once I figured that out though it worked fine.
Horrible instructions and too many pieces     On: 2008-04-26

I purchased this unit after reading the other reviews that stated easy set up. I found it to be anything but that. First of all, the instructions come on this mammoth, poster-sized sheet and are in several different languages. As such, the writing is quite small and the illustrations are hard to see. Secondly, it doesnt provide a written explanation of how to install it - it simply shows pictures in a 1-2-3 sequence that were not that easy to follow given the small size. Thirdly, there are a gazillion little pieces that go with this.

Based on the reviews I had read I was blown away that anyone would have considered this unit one to be easily set up. After not making much sense of it based on what I wrote above, I brought it to my father, who is a master electrician, to ask him to do it. Hes put plenty of wired computers on bikes so I thought this would be a snap for him. Not so - after looking it over and putting all the pieces out to try and make sense of it he packaged it back up and told me to send it back, which I did.

I then went to the shop I purchased my bike from and bought one from them. It was $10 more, but set up was ridiculously simple using sturdy zip ties, along with easy to understand instructions.

Overall Ive not been very pleased with the bicycle products on this site and have returned several of them. In fact, the only items I have ever sent back are the bicycle products. Id recommend going to a bike shop for most of the accessories. But overall I love most of the things Ive purchased from this site and the service too.
Simple setup, easy to use...     On: 2007-12-28

Grabbed this one to replace my wired bike computer I had for many years. I left the spoke magnet from my old one on and this new computer worked fine with it. Its a little larger than my older system (probably because of the wireless electronics needed) but it offers plenty of features you will need for informative biking. Setup was easy and it worked perfectly right from the start. Good price too.
Great little computer     On: 2007-08-03

Ive been using this wireless bike computer for since about the beginning of June. Ive found it to be one of the best computers I have used. The initial setup and wireless connection were extremely easy to handle. I love the small size of the computer itself. It makes it very simple to detach and throw in my pocket if I stop somewhere while Im out riding. Despite its small size, I find the display very readable. The size is also perfect for my road bike, its large enough to be useful without being overpowering.
resets after 999.99 KM or miles

I wanted to keep this product because Topeak has AWESOME customer service. But after seeing that it resets after 999.99 miles/km I decided to send it back.
Too bad, they make good bike products.
