This thing is HUGE!!!     On: 2008-04-28

This lock is by far the burliest thing that I have ever seen as far as locks are concerned. Its way to big and heavy to carry around in a backpack or messenger bag if youre riding a bike. Ive found it to be the perfect lock for my scooter though. Its size alone should scare away would-be thieves. Dont even think about wearing it around your waist like bike messengers unless you have a size 50 waist.
BIG MEAN chain & lock!     On: 2007-11-03

This is one BIG MEAN chain and lock! Im actually using it to secure a generator because weve had so many stolen in my area. The thieves just use bolt or cable cutters to easily cut through regular chain or cable.

I feel pretty confident that even if they could cut through this chain/lock, it would take way too much time and not worth the effort; theres much easier targets.

For the reviewer who rated this only 1 star because its so massive: the item description says how big the chain links are and also that it weighs 20+ pounds. They got exactly what they ordered. He also indicated its too big for a bike, but I know a couple people who use it for their bikes and theyre happy with it; in fact theyre the ones told me to get it for my generator.
OMG

This chain lock is just amazing! I was very impressed with how massive this thing is. Nothing, I mean NOTHING is cutting this thing off. You can read the details of the contruction on their web site. The key lock is easy to operate, it does seem to get stuck a bit, but the intructions say to wiggle or jiggle the key in place. So far, I have not have any problems. Just be careful though, because even though it comes with a protective covering, it may still scratch your bike. Not that it will, you just have to be careful with it because of its size and weight. So far Im very happy with it and I got it for less $$ than at local stores. Im also very happy I got the longer length, 64". The 44" one would have been too short.
