Decent for the price, which in my case was under $100, delivered

I needed an inexpensive womens coaster brake bike (I live in an area with a high rate of bicycle theft) and purchased the "Elvis" bike when it was about $95, delivered. For that price, I have no complaints. The bike arrived in good shape, and the design is amusing if youre an Elvis fan. The down side is that its hard to keep the seat adjusted (it slowly slides down as you ride it so you have to readjust it every few miles) and it makes a noise that suggests the tire is rubbing on the frame (which it isnt). Im also not sure it passes the "too cheap to be worth stealing" test, because it is rather eye-catching. Also, its heavy, which is fine with me because Im riding to get exercise. However, the average woman would probably not want to have to carry it up a flight of stairs.

Well my "1 rating" is more for amazon itself and its quality control I guess. I dont know if its the manufacturers fault or the destributors. In the end amazon is the one who should have made sure the item they were selling was as described so Im blaming them.

This is a high $ item in my opinion, any thing over $100 to me is just that. So if I pay close to $200 for an item I expect it to arrive as described and un damaged. I purchased this bike months before christmas, when it arrived the box was un damaged. So I opened it up to make sure the color and style was right just a quick glance then I hid it away in the garage so the person receiving it wouldnt know I bought it for them. As christmas came around I dragged the box out and started taking the items out to assemble. Here is what I found.

The bike comes semi assembled, you have to put the handle bars, seat, front wheel, fenders, etc together. It looked like the bike was squeezed in a vice smashing the chain guard into the rear fender chipping off the paint and crumpling the metal like a tin can. Almost all of the stickers were applied crooked and a couple were scrapped and damaged. The foam covers on the forks were sliced and ripped. The reflectors were for another spoke design and came with the wrong mounting attachment. The fenders are held on with screws, it would have been nice if they supplied all of the screws to mount the fenders! There were chipps in the paint on the stem housing as well as a glue like substance all over the back and front fenders from where a sticker was applied then taken off.

Now some of these issues I had to rectify myself just to make the bike presentable for christmas as it was too late to return it, like taking the chain guard off pounding out the crunched metal and repainting the chipped off paint. Re shaping the fenders and painting them as well, I could maybe call and see if I can get the right screws, reflectors and a new sticker set to replace the damaged ones as well as the ones that were put on crooked. By crooked I mean a straight pinstripe follows the frame down, well its two stickers instead of one long one. One line vears off to the right while the other starts crooked to the left and vears the other way. Very poor pre assembly!!! So this item in my opinion showed up in used/damaged condition NOT NEW!!! Stay away from buying this item from amazon, if at all possible buy it already assembled and new from a shop.
