![]() Huffy Alpine Men's 26-Inch Mountain Bike By: Huffy Average Rating: 3.0 Total Reviews: 5 More Information Huffy Alpine after 1 year use Purchased my Huffy, and one for my wife one year ago. Looks great for the price.I am 200lb male and I dont baby it, yet I use care when shifting gears and keep it maintained. Took it on one mountain-bike trail and it performed very well. I was surprised. I purchased a Huffy other than a not well known brand as I wanted to be able to source parts for it in 10 years. Problems, both bike pedals have cracked and split from use. They are just plastic. Kick stand is poor quality. I have to tighten it often and it does not seem long enough. After purchase I had to adjust a few cables and items but nothing serious. Went camping with it and noticed after a brief minor rain it tries to rust in a few spots such as bolts/srews and bare metal areas not well coated. Note to self, should wax it when purchased. Nice bike for the price. If you ride often or plan on strong use, I would have purchased a more robust bike, but if all you have is $95, it is a nice bike for the price. Huffy Alpine Men's 26" Mountain Bike What a waste of money. There was a problem with the bike initially; had to bring it to a bike shop to get it put together because of that; turned out there was a part that was stripped. Had the part sent, but had to pay an extra $70 to get it put together. Was ridden once after being fixed, and another part broke. Had THAT sent, and another $70 to get it fixed again; same thing happened the second time it was ridden. NOT worth the money to purchase. Ugh. Great Bike, if you know someone who can assemble it! Great bike to ride in! just took me couple weeks to assemble completely, since I have no clue how to do it myself. But after bringing the bike to a specialized "bike mechanic" it turns out a great buy! My bike was less than perfect The bike is a decent one but it came with a cracked reflector and a small part missing, the seat clamp. also I had to have the gears adjusted immediately and I bought a new seat because the one that came with it was uncomfortable. Ok.... This bike is fair for the money. The chain keeps coming off, which were not sure if its a defect, or if its something we didnt do right in assembly. Also, when you turn right, your left food hits the front wheel. The spacing/design of the front wheel is too close to the pedals. What a @#$@#$ manual !! I *NEED* a manual which is for THIS bike and THIS bike ONLY not a godamned all in one manual which is like "if your bike model has screw [2] then loosen bolt [3] if available. Depending on your model unscrew bolt [4] or bolt [7] if your model has screw [9] available within screw [34234]. WARNING ! failure to do this on your model will result in injury death and penile reduction" GODAMMMIT ! I NEEED THE MANUAL FOR THIS MODEL BIKE !!is that too much to ask for ?? The bike is good but the manual is asking to put on fenders when there are none, attach reflectors where its already attached, fix un-existing screws and decide what to eat for dinner depending on the model !! |
