![]() Timex 30-lap Ironman Digital HRM - Midsize By: Timex Average Rating: 2.5 Total Reviews: 2 More Information good service, better communication next time this is a good place to buy I feel very satisfy for the service. the contradiction was when a was tracking my order was confusing. I had two watches with this company..one thumb up glorious watch, useless HRM [note: this review is based on the full-size version] the watch: fabulous. a vast array of features, clear display, crisp button action, compact durable casing... obviously a product resulting from decades of timex product development. everything that this 15-year distance running vet could want in a watch. the HRM: embarrassing. on a 70 min run this morning, i couldnt go more than a half-mile w/o the watch giving a bunk reading: "145, 145, 147, 144, 196, 183, 112, 120, 144, 145..." the final 3 miles were pegged at 240, i even used water-based lube to help the contacts. this makes the zone alarm, hi/lo log and averaging features useless. i was surprised by all this, for my wear testing around the house seemed to be 100% accurate. cant you use some averaging algorithms to help smooth out bad data reads? or throw out outlier data? this watch is being returned. its a shame, i would love it otherwise. ive sent this feedback to timex in hopes of a better revision in the future. |
