Only a complete fool would pay this markup     On: 2009-01-05

You would have to be a complete idiot to pay this mark up! This is twice the retail rate. Silver Eagles are getting a premium, so you might pay $15-17 for a coin, or $300 to $350 for a roll. They are all brilliant uncirculated, all straight from mint tube, straight from U.S. Mint monster box. They dont get any more brilliant or anymore uncirculated if you pay more, you just pay more. If you dont believe me, check Ebay, Northwest Mint, Ampex, Monex, Kitco, Blanchard, or even a freaking pawn shop before you pay this. This has to be targeted at the terminally stupid or really old people that are usually the victims of real estate scams. This is truly embarrassing.

This is literally the first time on Amazon that Ive seen something so overpriced that Im made enough to write a review
Ridiculous!!!     On: 2008-08-20

The previous review goes on to tell us these coins have a face value of $1.00, but they are worth ALMOST 20 times that. Hmmm...so paying $30 oz makes sense?
Protection from Inflation and Pretty to Boot     On: 2007-10-13

These are spectacular! American money tends to be boring and has no "real" value however; precious metal coins are the exception. These coins face value as legal tender is $1 but, since they are made of 100% silver, their melt/spot value is almost 20 times that. A great investment and fun gift on any occasion.
