![]() Timbuk2 Strap Pad with Grip,Black By: Timbuk2 More Information Essential. Just like everything from timbuk2, its of high quality and is recommended. The rubberized pad is the way to go, especially if you dont wear the strap across your chest. One reviewer already mentioned it keeping the bag on your shoulder, which it does. great pad perfect for use w/ any Timbuk2 bag. i swear by this item. rubberized lasts quite awhile too. too bad you cant recycle/send in the old strap to by having them sew in a new rubberized cover. Why is this an extra? I picked up a bag for my 17inch Macbook Pro and got to the counter only to be asked "do you want to buy the strap pad?". What? Why isnt this a standard item like on Crumpler bags? Its okay I guess. It is slightly padded, but I really dont see why I should have to pay extra for something that should be included with the bage Not as pictured - Mediocre comfort 1. The swirl on the strap is yellow, not white. Considering ordered this online specifically for the white coloring to match the white swirl on my bag, this is a problem. 2. The additional comfort provided is mediocre 3. There should have been a padded strap on the bag in the first place. I wish I would not have wasted another $10 to give Timbuk2 on something that should have been included with original purchase. Great product I bought this product to add a shoulder pad to a crumpler camera bag. I also have bought a Timbuk2 should pad for another bag without the grip feature. The advantage of this product is that is has a grip texture that prevents the shoulder strap from sliding off. It worked without any problems. Works for me For me, this pad adds much comfort when my bag is full and heavy. The velcro fastener runs the length of the pad and secures to the strap quite well. I can attach it as tightly as I want, so it either stays put (very put), or I can attach it so it can slide a little as I adjust my bag from my front to my back. My only gripe is that I think this should have come "stock" with the Timbuk2 laptop messenger bag that costs $100. But I guess for those who are color coordinating, buying it separately gives them the option of picking different colors. Nifty Strap Pad - Makes all the difference An absolute must-have for your Timbuk2 Messenger esp if you tend to carry heavy items like a laptop (Macbooks are NOT light). It makes commuting much more tolerable and pain-free on the shoulders. The problem is that it sometimes makes it difficult for me to slide my bag from my back to the front and vice versa, though this is easily solved by loosening the strap pad itself. Disappointed! I got a large timbuk2 classic messenger, thought it would be great the get the pad as well. When i used it, it hurt my shoulder! rather carry my bag without the strap pad. |
