This is super easy to apply - it did make wrapping the bar a little more difficult but not a problem. My bars are so soft now - its wonderful! Just dont forget you have to wrap your bars when you apply this!
Hands sensitive to road shock?     On: 2007-10-25

Mine are, so I have been riding with padded cycling gloves as well as padded handlebar tape. Still, chip sealed road vibration caused me some discomfort, so I was thinking of adding another layer of padded tape to my bars, or wrapping gel pads under the tape. Adding tape would make my bars look "fat" and gel pads were expensive. Then I found the Planet Bike pads, inexpensive gel pads from a well known company. You must unwrap the bar tape, place the pads, then rewrap. It took me 2 tries to get it right, but it looks as good a job as any bike shop could do. The top pads were a little long but were easily trimmed with scissors. I expected the pads to be a little thicker, but it turns out they give just the right amount of extra padding I need for a more enjoyable ride.
