I cant say enough about this light! It is absolutely blinding at night and is plenty bright enough to see clearly even at high-noon. I use mine whenever and wherever I ride. I have even had people at work (who have passed me on the way) comment on it. The batteries last for a very long time even though I ride every day.
I would change a few things: First of all, whoever designed the apparatus for attaching it to the bike wasnt a rocket scientist. The RUBBER o-ring wraps around the seat which works just fine. It is very tight and holds firm. But who doesnt know that RUBBER weathers badly and has a very limited life. I would have preferred to get out a screwdriver and be confident that it will hold permenantly.
I was a little disappointed when I got the light, in how it detatched from the post mounting. It requires that you squeeze a little piece in order to lift the light off. It would be difficult for someone with arthritis or when wearing gloves, but I seemed to have gotten the hang of it. As long as your fingers are working alright, it seems to be OK.
There are some minor issues with this light: mounting, releasing it from the post, and the batteries (unconventional, however, not impossible to find)....BUT with the flashing feature, the long battery life and most importantly how bright the light is, I would still give it 5 stars and would buy another one in a flash (no pun intended).
P.S.
The light is also visible from the side, particularly at night. On: 2007-10-10
