Outstanding headlight, average tailligth.     On: 2009-09-25

Headlight is outstanding with the exception of one flaw, rattles a little bit on not so smooth streets. Taillight is very average. It is not bright enough for street riding, I would suggest for trail riding only. I like its compact size and 3 possibilities of installing: vertically left or right or horizontally. I had one issue with taillight, I had to shorten the plastic strap because it was rubbing my tights. As summary I would rate headlight 5/5 and taillight 3/5.
Ok Front Light, Small Back Light     On: 2009-06-01

The Front light is Decent for its Size, Weight and Brightness. I wished the back light was little bigger. The brightness is OK but the size is small for a back-light.
Going to buy another, bigger back light
Decent Front Light, Mediocre Back     On: 2009-02-22

I have been commuting with this light set for the winter season, which means that mornings and evenings were pretty much all in the dark. This set is a decent purchase for the price. I have a combination urban and suburban commute, and use the front light in flash mode for the busy part of the ride and then switch to steady when I need the added visibility on the road in front. I get the impression from the pedestrian and driver reactions that they see the flashing front light pretty quickly, but have to admit that in the steady mode, the beam of light only extends about 10 - 12 feet in front so am not comfortable going fast when there is doubt about junk on the road or on the path in front. I do like the fact that the light slips off its mount easily as I slip it into my pocket so it doesnt get stolen off my bike when I am at work.

In terms of the back light, I dont even bother to turn it on in the evening as I have purchased a much bigger multi-flashing light and mounted it on my backpack. This light is so small and dim that I dont think it provides the visibility needed to compete with all the other distractions out there on the roads.
Two Pieces of Tape     On: 2008-12-16

Im very happy with this product for the $26.99 I paid for it. It is bright, comes with the batteries (the taillight uses "N" type - for medical devices - by the way), and comes on and off the mount easily. However, if you look at the top of the lens where its clear, some light comes out there and causes glare. It was like driving with lights on inside your car. So, I put two pieces of electrical tape on the lens and viola! It works great now! I see the current price is $48.90. Thats way too much, in my opinion!
Cateye Lites     On: 2008-11-30

I am using the Cateye Lites for a horse drawn carriage so I dont get hit by cars! They are very bright, last a long time and can be seen a long ways away!
thanks!

Perfect!     On: 2008-06-21

This set of lights is very easy to install. The front light is very bright... I think I can see upto 6-8 feet ahead when I ride in almost complete dark environment. Build-quality is quite good... not so filmsy as well as the plastic finishing is not so cheap-feeling (unlike some that I saw at Walmart). I like this very much!... so that I want to ride my bike every night!
ready handy     On: 2008-03-28

I recently bought an "adult tricycle" to ease my pain at the gas pump and enjoy sneering at the gas station, every time I pedal past it. But I also worry about those knotheads using their cell phones in SUVs not paying attention. These lights set to flash mode are the next best thing to injecting them with brains and, if the lights save my life, a very good value, indeed.
