Great product with lots of features. Its a little tricky to get the cadence monitor attached just right, plan on spending a bit if time with that, but it tracks flawlessly once you do. Instructions are many since it does so much, but again, once you spend a little time with it and its set up, youre set. Very easy to read in any light. Accurate, checked it against my GPS for mph and distance. The display is firmly attached to the handlebar, but nice that it easily detaches from the mount so you dont have to worry about it when you lock your bike up. Highly recommended.
Great wireless feature, poor battery, resets easily     On: 2008-04-29

Like many of the other reviewers, I had high expectations for this unit. The battery life is relatively short compared with other computers Ive had in the past. Resetting the computer has become a part of my daily routine, so it isnt the most reliable device Ive ever had. If you wear a heart rate monitor, I do not suggest it either. You can reset the signal ID so it doesnt conflict, but again this has to be part of your daily routine.

If your handlebars are crowded like mine (i.e. brakes and a lamp mount). Be aware that there isnt a stem mount available so I had to attach the mount itself to my stem using quickties.
Good computer     On: 2008-04-21

I put this computer on my new road bike and its perfect for "spinning" or riding on the road. Its probably not good enough for serious riders, but Im a weekend warrior and Im riding short rides (30-40 miles). The numbers are big enough to read for the critical functions (time, speed, distance and cadence) and I tend to leave the computer alone while Im in the saddle. I could see it as a little difficult to press the enter button (bottom edge) while riding since its close to the bar/neck on my setup. [...]

For "spinning" with a stationary trainer and video, the cadence is really handy (although the LED segments are a little small) since most of the videos say "90 rpm for this segment". I have an Enduro 8 on my mountain bike and both are very easy to setup, use and get data from while riding and after the ride. The only thing this is missing is the heart rate monitor, but you could get a polar or similar monitor for that if necessary, however Ive heard that it might cause RF interference with this model (non 2.4Ghz) of bike computer.

Installing the computer on my bike was very easy, the hardest part was mounting the handlebar clip since I didnt read the instructions so I didnt extend the clip before trying to screw it tight, otherwise it took about 15 mins, including setting up the screens/units. It was set by default to my tire size (700).
Pretty good computer but some drawbacks     On: 2008-02-09

This computer is expensive so my expectations were rather high. What I like about it is that the speed pickup is on the rear wheel so I can use it on my trainer. The cadence capability is also nice. I like the fact this computer is wireless but I got some interference between my Polar monitor and this wireless computer initially that made it impossible to use both the HRM and this unit at the same time. But with my new Polar monitor, that problem has gone away.

Im not really keen on the display either. I want to see my distance, average speed, actual speed and cadence all at once, but you have to change screens to see this data. Battery life is ok but just. Youll need to replace batteries on this unit much more quickly than you have to on other Cateye computers and when you do, youll have to redo the settings. So keep your instruction book handy because it isnt a very intuitive setup.
Works great, easy to install and no wires     On: 2007-08-29

I have an earlier model Cateye that has worked well with no problems. It had nice extra features. So with my new Trek road bike I wanted a dual wireless cadence computer. I tried two other brands and they were both problematic. One had two separate transmitters with the cadence continually dropping out. The other brand had a split wired cadence and wireless speed sensor. It does not work very well riding along roads with parallel powerlines. I was ready to give up but decided to give the Cateye a try since I had good success with Cateye products and this model had good reviews even though it is on the upside of pricey.

Im glad I did as it works great and the dual wireless sensor mount is slick with both sensors contained in the same unit which mounts on the rear lower tube right behind the down tube, (see manual).
Great Service     On: 2007-08-29

I was very happy with their service. they were a pleasure to deal with.
Awesome cyclocomputer     On: 2007-05-14

The CatEye Strada is an excellent wireless cyclocomputer. Its the first Ive owned, but I read many reviews of cheaper models which often complained about accuracy and calibration. I entered my tire information into the Strada and measured its accuracy, and it was spot-on. It has a nice large screen but the computer doesnt take up much space, and its easy to scroll through the displays (time, distance, max speed, avg. speed, etc.) with one touch. Installation was pretty simple also.

Overall this is a great model and I highly recommend it. CatEye seems to make the best cyclocomputers, and its worth a slightly higher price to get one that youll be happy with.
CatEye CC-CD300DW Double Wireless Cycle Computer     On: 2007-04-06

Computer functions are excellent. Screen is configured for easy review of key functions (cadence, distance and speed at the same time). The only downside is the mount is designed for only the handlebars. It would be nice if this computer could be mounted on the stem or an aero bar like my previous Cateye Micro Wireless computer.
Mixed review     On: 2007-04-01

While this Wireless Cycle Computer has great features as described, I have found it difficult to use in practice. It is difficult to conveniently move between features and to reset the information it presents (e.g., time, distance, etc.) When I am not trying to reset the information presented, the CatEye is great. I should add that CatEyes customer service was great. When initially installing the Cycle Computer one of the pieces broke to attach the Computer to my bikes handlebars. After contacting Cat Eye, they promptly followed up with a replacement.
Great product, great price!     On: 2007-03-21

Product was exactly as described. The shipping was incredibly fast. I could not be happier with the sale or the experience.
beware of problems     On: 2006-05-09

Ive had mine for about 8 months now. The first problem was the batteries only lasted 6 months. Now it has developed a problem where it keeps reseting (may be batery contacts became loose) so I have to set up the ID between the transmitter and the head unit. It is a PITA to do that everytime. Last few days it got even worst, now everytime I go over a pot hole or bump it resets. So Ive stopped using it. Ill contact Cateye to see if they offer a service to repair or replace it. IEven if I did not have this reset issue Id say stay away from this, it is very tedious to use, for example to reset the counters I have to press 3 buttons all at once and when you are wearing gloves you can for get it. Even when I am not wearing gloves it is not easy to reset the counters.

Very good , BUT...     On: 2006-04-18

I really like this little cyc comp.... however I find that it is too finicaty to keep pressing the buttons to move between displays... there is no SCAN function whereby it moves from display to display every 3 seconds or so...

I have bought the remote buttons now and will see how they work.

The numbers are fine and I can see them ok, but the other indicators are too small for my 45 year old eyes (+1.25)!!!

But having no wires is key and it is so worthwhile... So buy it if yor eyes are ok, and get the remote buttons from CatEyes website - they are about $15 plus S&H...

Cateye nailed it with this Double Wireless device!!     On: 2006-02-28

I was hesitant at first to pay more that $40 for a bike computer but it had everything I needed; speed, cadence, distance, etc...etc... all in a completely wireless unit. I really love having all those ugly wires and that nasty tape off my bike frame. It feels and looks much cleaner now.

It works like a charm, with a very interactive display and you can have some choice in what is displayed where on the unit. There are a lot of features so it is going to take you a few minutes to get it all set up and mounted, and it took me about three rides to really figure out how to navigate all the different menus, but I think that is half the fun...playing with your new toys!

Overall, I love this thing! Not a single complaint...and I highly recommend this to any semi-serious riders and triathletes.
