Very functional, remembering configuration sequences can be a challenge     On: 2008-05-14

This is my first cycling computer and Ive been happy with it. Ive owned it for about 4 months and have done dozens of rides with a total of over 400 miles on the odometer. It is easy to ride and switch between the different viewing modes and is easy to read even in sunlight.

This product is very functional and works as advertised. I really like the "auto start" mode where the odometer and elapsed time start automatically when wheel rotation is detected. Without it I would forget to restart the timer often.

As noted in other reviews the various combinations of button pushes are a bit cryptic and take some practice getting to remember. Ill eventually dig out the manual again to figure out how to set the time to DST :-) ... or maybe Ill just wait until the time is right again! Actually, the one that bugs me the most is the "trip meter reset" which I usually end up having to try two or three different times to get it right.

The one feature I wish it had was an "cycle through modes" option where the values displayed would automatically cycle through the secondary display modes (avg speed, max speed, elapsed time, trip, odometer) without having the press a button on the unit.

Review: Cateye CC-CD200 Bike Computer     On: 2007-12-27

A good basic Bicyle computer (with cadence) for the price. It provides the basic information of speed, trip distance, overal distance, cadence and more for a reasonable price.
Nice bike computer with cadence and rear wheel function     On: 2007-12-16

I bought this computer at my local bike shop as I wanted one that measured cadence and could attach to the rear wheel to use with an indoor trainer (Cycle Ops Fluid 2). The setup was a bit challenging for me, but it always takes me twice as long to put things together. I had it on my bike and working in around 45 minutes. I think the attachment hardware could be designed better. The numbers are a bit too small to see easily with my 43 year old eyes. It does function well and is simple to reset and gives me all the numbers I need: speed, top speed, average speed, time of ride, cadence, and odometer. I think it is a bit overpriced. Overall I like it despite these minor issues. The bike shop staff told me that wireless units dont have the range to attch to the rear wheel, so thats why I bought the wired version.
2 pluses, 1 minus     On: 2007-06-14

Plus number 1: It is a wired unit. That means you need not worry about interference with other gadgets, including a heart rate monitor.

Plus number 2: Has the really essential features (speed, elapsed time, cadence) at about as low a price as you can find. Not counting heart rate though.

Plus number 3: This is common to several Cateye products Ive bought. I wish they would not try so hard to keep the weight down when it comes to the mounting parts & for some products, the shell / casing. They use a black plastic of some sort that just aint that robust.
Ok..but not great     On: 2006-08-28

While I like the functions this offers, the screen is a bit hard to read when riding. Also, the instructions arent very easy to follow. For example, it is displaying in kilometers per hour but the instructions dont say how to convert to miles/hour. I would probably not buy this again.
Just What I Expected     On: 2006-07-30

I recently purchased this to replace an older broken computer. The cadence helps significantly with training. Wireless is always nice, but considering price this computer is perfect. It was easy to install and is easy to use.

Great for indoor resistance training!     On: 2006-02-23

I purchased this computer to replace another Cateye that was a front-wheel sensor (speed/distance) because I recently started using a resistance trainer indoors and needed crank (cadence) and rear-wheel (speed/distance) sensors. Nice features and easy to mount and wire.
