It is one of the most useful bike tools Ive owned. I got one as a freebie at a bike show in L.A. years ago in the 90s and Ive used the heck out of it ever since. I bought several more, just in case I lost one or one broke (theyve never broken, surprisingly sturdy). Its small enough to fit in my seat bag on my road bike, so I always have it with me. Its easy to use, gets the tire off fast, wont pinch tubes or scratch wheels and gets you back on the road quickly. Ive used it on mountain bikes and cruisers...but the real value is with road bikes where its not so easy to break the tires bead with bare hands. |
