A must for cyclists to be seen day or night

It works just as it says. Mount it facing front so you can have the "warning" capacity to catch attention of folks in cars. The battery life is phenomenal in blink mode. With gas prices out of sight, more folks are cycling and that is such a good thing. Illuminate yourself day or night. Even in daylight, this little light catches attention. Well worth the money.

I want to be noticed on my bike during the day as well as night and this item does the trick so far no battery failure and a good flash pattern

I bought this light for a purpose different from the usual. I mounted it on an extra bar which sits directly above my drop bar. (I use this bar when I need to ride upright to give my back a rest on long rides and, when I have a good tailwind so riding upright catches more of the tailwind.) It is aimed downwards so it shines on my cyclometer and my handlebar bag at night. This allows me to see my cyclometer easily, see into my bag, see my snacks in my "e pack" mounted on the top tube next to the headset, and provides a sideways, amber light at night for added visibility. This light does not affect my night vision as I ride.

Good side light at night, OK daytime running light

Yellow/amber LEDs with a clear lens (not a colored lens) for maximum energy efficiency and brightness. Work well as "be seen from the side" running lights at night; much better than your headlight or some taillights. Adequate in daylight but not as good as a bright headlight.

Also look at Pyramid Cycling Products "Front Light" #94462 which has five amber LEDs. This is somewhat brighter to my eye.
