I have had these pedals on my mountain bike for about 4 years. They are not made for those who are seriously in to mountain biking, but cant be beat for the commuter or cyclist who uses their bike to run errands, ride around the neighborhood, or takes that weekend ride down a dirt road or bike trail. I can use the clip side when wearing my bike shoes, or the plain side when I just want to take a ride wearing whatever shoes or sandals I happen to have on. The clip takes the standard Shimano mountain SPD cleat. The pedals are very well made and nice looking. And mine are still going strong after 4 years.
