Great saddle, get the maintenance kit as well.     On: 2008-05-27

I also ride a cyclecross bike in high humidity. I like all day rides over different terrain. The more mixed the better. For about 8 months I had pain below my knee cap. I adjusted the seat up and down and forward and aft. Then I bought a Champion Flyer and no more pain in my knee. The proofhide is the key to conditioning the saddle. The stuff melts into the saddle. Great quality saddle. The kit and shower cap are also worth the money. The only drawback is leather in the rain. I havent tested the shower cap on it in a downpour yet.
Best saddle ever...period     On: 2008-03-07

Im writing to make sure people have accurate information about this saddle. Giving the saddle one star when the problem lies with the seller does everyone a HUGE disservice. I have a Brooks Champion Flyer that Ive been riding for a couple of years on a cyclocross frame. Got a great deal on a lugged steel road frame and put on a Brooks B17 to save a little weight. The B17 is lighter and prettier (especially the one with copper rivets) but I decided to put on the Champion Flyer to see how it felt on the road bike. OMG! What a difference! The Champion Flyer turned the road bike into a limo. Absorbs all the little bumps and greatly softens the big ones. Its way more comfortable than the B17 and worth the extra 10 ozs, particularly if you have a somewhat upright riding position.
