This cyclocomputer works very well. I do think it will show random readings from other device interference (it will do this when sitting next to my computer when I log my rides), but it is minor. When riding, it seems to work just fine. It shows distance, instantaneous speed, average speed, time, and max speed. It also has an odometer. You can freeze on any of the above modes, or you can have it cycle through them all as you ride. It will always show instantaneous speed. The timer (or stopwatch) stops when you stop, so you know your actual ride time and average speed. Wireless is nice because there are no wires to deal with. My husband and I use the same computer on both our bikes (we bought two, but lost one, but he still has the sensor on his bike). The computer pops off the bike easily. It also has a freeze frame function so you can see your results later. It automatically shuts off after not riding for a few minutes.
There are some bike computers that dont show average speed. That is definitely something you want! We learned from experience on this one. We actually paid more for one that didnt have avg. speed. We took that one back and purchased this one instead. Yes, there are fancier computers, but for the price of $20, this is a great computer. It does what I need it to do. The only upgrade I might want later is a cadence meter. On: 2007-11-10
three times the computer has started reporting random speed/distance/time.
twice it seemed to work correctly. I dont know if Im doing something wrong or if it just doesnt work. Im taking it back to Performance where I got it. On: 2007-11-09
