Good quality, ease of mounting depends on your bike

A great way to make your bike more useful for commuting. These are good quality fenders made of durable plastic with steel mounting brackets and adjustable struts and additional mud flaps. They are long enough to fully cover your tire. I happened to completely fold over one of the fenders (accidentally) and the plastic "bounced back" fully without breaking.

How easy they are to mount depends on your bike. A decent selection of screws is included but certainly wont fit every possible bike. For instance, some bikes dont have screw holes next to the axles for mounting the struts, or you may already be using the holes in back for a bike rack. You might need to find a metal strap to bolt around your fork.

If your bike wasnt designed for fenders, the front fender may come too close to your feet when you pedal; you might kick the fender and if youre going fast, it could get dragged up by the wheel (thats how I bent mine). It helps to remove the plastic clips on the ends of the struts; theyre going to fall off soon anyway and appear to be just decorative.

product came incomplete - less mounting hardware - sks usa sent wrong replacement hardware (too small and wrong color) still awaiting mounting parts ordered 10/17 today 11/14-----what can you do when your the only person (SKS) making the product! Hard to contact company!

Good solid product

I bought these fenders for a hybrid bike. Easy installation. Works well. Local bike store is selling them for twice the amazon price. Happy with the purchase.

no hassle mounting on a fuji bike

I have to say, the quality of the SKS fenders is much better than I expected for the price. Got all the hardware and required screws. The screws work great with my Fuji bike frame. Fits almost perfectly (I should have ordered 35mm because of little clearance above rear wheel on my road bike). I only wish the plastic end caps on the stays wouldnt fall of that easily (I intend to **glue on** the remaining 3 I got).

Note: the rear fender is quite short, but the coverage is still good thanks to the mud flap, and the added benefit is that the fender is not in the way when you pull the bike up on its rear wheel.

Great Fenders!

I put these fenders on my hybrid commuter bike and have absolutely no problems what so ever. The installation was straight forward and a breeze. Just remember to keep the screws loose and tighten them as you adjust the fenders. What a relief to be able to go through puddles with out cringeing.

It came missing some screws, I had to go buy some to replace them. (it was $.99 for a dozen, Im not complaining about price.) But the screws that DID come with it, some of them were too short to attach the fenders to the mounts on the fork of my bike and on the back.

The back fender was a little bit tricky to install on my bicycle, but its a really old bike so its probably just that.

Besides those installation cons, these fenders are great and work as intended flawlessly!

Don't waste your money

This fender set is so bad as to be useless. The fenders are poorly designed, and the hardware kit was a random bunch of stuff. There are 7 points of attachment for these fenders, and they came with 6 bolts of assorted lengths, 3 flat washers and 2 lock washers, 4 nuts (2 with threads too small to match the bolts), and some odd bracket stuff. There was an allen key, but no wrench to hold the nut. I had some hardware, so I put the fenders on, but decided they were such crap I couldnt use them. Dont bother with this product.

Great fenders, but make sure they will fit

I got a pair of these fenders to go on my Specialized Globe Sport for commuting purposes. The fenders are of very high quality, and the fit did expand to fit the tires properly. The only problem is that the screw for the front fender does not go through my bikes frame entirely and the screws for the back fender were too thick for my bikes mounting holes. If you are looking to add fenders to a Specialized Globe, I would look elsewhere. If not, you should be getting a great set of fenders.

Im very satisfied with this fender set, it fit my hybrid bicycle that has 40mm tires perfectly!

-Its actually made in Germany.
-Installation was easy too. It includes all the necessary hardware for installation.

Great fenders for any bike

Its made from plastic. All hardware included (including bolts and nuts). Easy to install and adjust (even wrench is enclosed- Ikea type).
It fits 700mm wheels with width from 28mm to 45mm.
Plastic caps on the end of each holder are pretty useless. Ive lost two of them on my first ride. But it does not affect functionality.

Overall - Nice fenders, great German quality.
