I saw a lot of complaints about people receiving the wrong color light in the mail but thought Id take my chances. Guess what, I ordered a white light and got a red one. On: 2008-06-03
These are great little lights. I like to use them when I scuba dive. All my dive buddies know where I am with the white one I have blinking away. The one I received here was red though. On: 2008-01-29
I originally bought one to put on my arm as I ran in the night along some busy roads, but I only later realized that these things are WATERPROOF to over 150ft. I now take them scuba diving as an emergency flasher or pocket flashlight, backcountry skiing as a first aid lamp (the white version, not the red), and I keep a few on had to strap quickly to any part of my kids stuff if we get out late on bikes or with joggers. These things attach to ANYTHING with a little creativity and practice. Battery life is great, and while the magnetic switch takes a little getting used to, as long as you figure out how to store the chord, it never turns on or off unless you want it to. I just went shopping for some helmet flashers for my kids, but then tried to use one of these chip FREDs (Flashing Red Electric Device), and it worked perfectly. Do not buy only one; you will regret having to pay for more shipping when you go back to order more. On: 2008-01-01
I ordered this light in white. It arrived in RED. I read a review of this same light in red and another reviewer said he received it in white.
As for quality, it seems okay. Im going to use it for running or on my messenger bag. The elastic cord means its easy to mount on many things and the cord is adjustable for different lengths.
Added: It just stopped working after a while. New batteries didnt help.
