I couldnt close the trunk of my car. Maybe its a different story if you have a minivan. I returned it and bought the Jeep double stroller (the flimsy kind, but it suits me better). We've really enjoyed our InStep Swivel Jogger     On: 2008-07-08 This product has been very useful for our family. We have a 2 year old and a 1 month old. Even though it is not "recommended" for newborns, it works well for this age group. The seat can lay nearly completely back and it has a five-point harness set-up so that the baby will sit securely in the seat. Our 2 year-old does not need as much restraint, so we do not use the shoulder straps on her. It pushes easily. I do a lot of walking and it handles very well. The swivel feature is great for tight corners, but have to be careful when going up or down steps (even one) because it is not stable. The sun shade is not very helpful. It does not extend very far, so for our infant we have to clothespin a blanket across the front to keep sun or rain off of her. Overall, we would definitely recommend this product to anyone with two small children. A stroller that serves its purpose     On: 2008-07-03 The reason I bought this stroller was to be able to run whenever I felt like it. I have a 14 month old and a husband that works and runs himself, and I was tired of asking for a sitter to be able to go and run. I think the stroller is perfect for what it was meant for. However, we will not be able to take this stroller on a trip or anything because as of right now our vehicles are cars and it will not fit unless we take the wheels off and at that point I find it pointless. The wheel in the front is also a little wobbely when you dont have it locked which is a little annoying but other than that I really like it and it does the job I bought it for. Many Differences From the Single Model     On: 2008-06-24 Im sure a lot of my feedback is because I did not do enough research, but I was surprised how different the double stroller was from the single stroller of the same make/model. A friend has the single stroller and I really liked it so I thought the double would be perfect. The main difference is that the push bar is not adjustable. As a tall person, the fixed far is a bit low. Also, there is no parent tray, but this really goofy bag that you snap to the handle and it dangles off. There is also no type of child tray, just a bar (to keep them in I guess). I am using this for my one year old and three year old and I thought the bar may be an issue for the three year old to get in and out, but she can climb over the bar with no problems. It is great that the seats are adjustable, but you adjust them with this bungy type thing on the back of the seat, and it is not possible to get them completely upright. With all that said, the swivel front wheel keeps me from returning it. I had a BOB with a fixed wheel and would never get another fixed wheel jogger (and dont want to pay BOB prices for their double, swivel wheel model). It also rolls really nicely, easy to push and seems to give the girls a smooth ride. Love this stroller1     On: 2008-06-20 I love,love, love this stroller. It turns on a dime. Great for city and trail walking. Kids seem comfortable. My four 1/2 yr old still sits in it and doesnt complain. It is very heavy, but I dont transport it very often. Unsafe at Any Speed     On: 2008-06-16 I had very high hopes for this stroller. Ive had an Instep jogging stroller with a fixed front wheel for two years and needed a double stroller so I went straight back to Instep. This stroller had a structural FAILURE which caused the front wheel to fall off while I was jogging with my children. The stroller flipped over causing injury to both my children, 2 years and 5 months, and me. I advise all parents to look very closely at this stroller for any signs of structural problems around the front wheel. I will not buy this stroller again and advise all parents to look elsewhere. GREAT BUY!!     On: 2008-06-04 I bought this item for my two grandkids that I watch every day. When the stroller arrived, I had to assemble it. Being a widow, I thought that I would be challenged. However, it turned out that I was able to finish assembling in less than 30 minutes. (HINT: I read the instructions as I went along). My grandkids just LOVE this stoller. I am too old to jog so I bought it for long walks. My grandkids lounge like a little king and queen while I push them along. I love this stroller because the wheels are inflatable tires, so the ride is cushioned. I also love the swiveling front wheel. It makes turning sooooo easy. With the free shipping, this buy was a steal!!! Wonderful stroller     On: 2008-06-02 This stroller is light and easy to push. It turns on a dime even when the front wheel is in the locked position. The seats recline easily and the hood has a clear pane in it so you can see your children when the hood is deployed. I like this stroller much better than my more expensive Zooper single stroller. Most importantly, my children like it, too! However, the lack of adequate sun screen as well as the difficulty getting things in and out of the basket underneath the stroller is why I didnt give it a 5-star rating. Great stroller for the price!!     On: 2008-06-02 We actually purchased this stroller used recently and love it! We own the Schwinn Safari II single jogger and have loved that stroller and this is the same, but bigger for two. Its perfect for our 2 1/2 year old and 10 month old. The sunshade is my only complaint, it isnt functional, but we are picking up one we can add on to the stroller. Other than that, this is great! Turns easily and my little peeps are right there in front of me, where I can see and talk to them easily. I like to fast walk and do some light jogging and it works great! We are looking forward taking it to our local farmers market and zoo this summer and other outings too. mix feeling     On: 2008-05-27 the stroller is great as far as the construction of it. the fabric is good..some of the velcro looks worn though but still work. the only thing with the swirl is that when i run at a fast pace it moves uncontrollably so i had to lock it but at normal jogging pace and walking it works fine. most if not all swirl front wheel have this issue they arent meant for a regular runner at a fast pace you will have to lock the front wheel. the stroller is lighter then the other one we got from babyrus. the only draw back is the sunshade doesnt go any further then what the picture shows. i had to buy an extra sun shade since the sun definitely are in my girls eyes. there isnt a parent tray, it just comes with a pocket attachment which is fine with me but not to my wife. i would buy it again if this one breaks. I like it, don't love it.     On: 2008-05-26 While the stroller itself is good quality, easy to put together, there are just a couple things that would be nice, the shade doesnt cover anything, and my two year olds head hangs over the top but he doesnt seem to notice, I wish it had a parent tray, but I guess you can buy those seperatly. but it does push really nice, I keep the front wheel locked b/c it shakes if you are going on a fast walk. and the colors are really cute, lots of compliments, the bottom holder is really small so as long as you arent planning to pack a lot it is good, all in all it is a good stroller for the price. Solid Stroller, especially for the money     On: 2008-05-12 And by solid I do mean solid. This is a heavy stroller. I dont have a problem moving it in and out of our van (not too bad for my tall wife) but for some people it could be tricky. Many have mentioned the ineffectual sunshade. I agree. We bought a flexible shade that works fairly well if there is minimal wind. This is a cost-effective choice. For the money it is a great value. There is decent storage underneath, and I found the strapped-on cupholder on the handle adequate for our needs. It is not the "tray" described in the literature. The wheels are sturdy. I was glad to have actual tires. This makes for a nice ride for the kids (1 & almost 3) who have never seemed uncomfortable. It would be nice to have some kind of cover for the shoulder and leg straps. We used receiving blankets when my daughter was smaller. We took it to the beach last Saturday and it was great on the sand. When the kids wanted to walk it held all the gear, a plus for a hot day. I recommend it highly. Overall great product for the price. great for price     On: 2008-04-28 I was happy to find a good deal here for a double jogger stroller. I do not jog with ours but we used our older version for busch gardens, walks, disney etc and hated that the wheel didnt swivel in the front, so I am very HAPPy to have a front wheel that swivels. its sorta heavier than our older one and i so wish they had a better parent tray type thing or areas for larger cups and things and a bigger shade for the kiddos. But besides that my tall five year old and four year old sons love it and did well in it on our first outing recently. I did order the BOB parent tray thing to use for it and it does help some... i did like someone here recommended and put the other one down there for the boys to put their cups but their cups were too large and spilled over so maybe smaller cups would work i dont know... my dh is tall and didnt mind it was a lower handle he was also happy about the front swivel wheel! I like the bar too because makes it a little more difficult for them to jump out hehe since they are long legged which helps us but you can take it off if wanted as well so it does remove... I was glad to see the reviews here to help with things to order extra for it and the part about it closes better without using the clip for closure for fitting in the trunk... i do wish all the colors were marked down and not sure where there was one for 150something as it says prices started at as i didnt see any that price but for 160ish we thought it was a good deal! LOVE IT!!!     On: 2008-04-23 I am a mother of a two year old and a 6 month old and have never owned a jogger before. I love it! It it rides so smoothly and my kids love it. It is so easy to push and steer. There is plenty of storage in the basket. The only thing I would do to change it is have a better canopy--it does not provide much shade for the kids at all. The other thing I love it that the seats recline-independently so my 6 month can lay back and my 2 year old can sit up. It doesnt go up to a 90 degree angle but my other graco single stroller didnt either and it isnt a big deal with my son-he just holds the grab bar if he wants to sit up more. Overall--awesome product and recommend to anyone. nice for the price     On: 2008-04-20 this stroller is working out well for us. it is nice to have the front wheel swivel when you are just using it at the park, and you can lock it for jogging. My 3yr old is a little tall for it, but she can still use it and should be able to for ar least another year without too much trouble. It rides really smoothly, so the walk itself was a pleasure. Definitely missing parent tray, and I agree with one of the reviews-storage at the bottom is very hard to get to, relatively small, too. Canopy-disaster! Did not protect from sun, so my kids were sun tanning all the time, I did not like that. My daughters are 17 months and 6 weeks old, older one seemed to be fairly comfortable, but not much room to grow. Soon her head will probably touch canopy, also the seat did not appear to be roomy, but she had winter jacket on, so maybe that is why. She is average kid, rather taller, but definitely not chubby. Before we ordered it, we read lots of descriptions on different websites, and every one gave different dimensions. It was critical to us, since we only have Honda Civic, so were worried if it would fit in the trunk. IT DOES! With no problems, too, even leaving room for some more small stuff. It is a little heavy, but quite compact as for what I would expect from a double jogger. I am guessing this is the reason we have to sacrifice all the trays, holders and other gadgets. My girls weight under 40lb total, and sometimes it was hard to push - uphill or downhill (then the stroller was "too fast" Double jogging stroller     On: 2008-03-25 This is great!!! The swivel wheel makes such a difference, especially with a double jogger. It is very smooth and it moves easily. My 3 1/2 year old and my 9 month old both enjoy going for a ride. My older son is very tall and the way this is built there is room for him to stretch out his legs. He is not cramped at all. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a double jogger. This is a quality product for a very good price. Good double Stroller, Great Price!     On: 2008-03-19 Just received the stroller and assembled it in about 20mins. Sturdy construction as well as having features that werent given in the description, ie the front wheel is capable of locking into place as well as freely rotating. After reading a couple reviews I was worried about the "leaning seats" issue. Not a problem, seats can be individually raised to about a 85° angle, maybe they just didnt read the manual. The only beef I have with the stroller is the actual beef of it. It is not compact by any means which is typical for a jogger. Folded down I would estimate the size to be about 2.5ft wide x 3ft tall x 1.5 deep. It takes up a lot of space if you,re planning on taking this thing on a vacation. But other than that I have no issues with it and would highly recommend it. If you dont care about the colors you can get this for a steal here w/ free shipping. Hope this helps. Great Stroller     On: 2008-03-13 I love my stroller, especially for the price. I find it to be very well made, easy to use, and not heavy at all. I too own a Schwinn TT single and love it as well. After reading several reviews which do not do this stroller justice there are a few things that people should know. The stroller folds flatter than the latch they put on, you need to recline the seats so they do not get caught on the canopy. The front wheel is secured by the same latch mechanism on bicycles, it is quite secure. The brakes are independent from each other and can be released with your foot (toe), you do not need to use your hand. As others have stated the canopy is not the greatest. The stroller is extremely maneuverable and is great value for those of us who have uneven sidewalks or like to go on nature walks. I have 3 boys, 4.5, 2.5 and 11 mos. and they love it as well. I can live without all the "bells and whistles"! Instep swivel double jogger     On: 2008-03-12 Got this stroller for my 2 year old and newborn daughters. I wanted to use it for a running and an all-purpose stroller. I love it! Pros: The swivel makes it easy to stroll or jog and steer with one hand - the swivel feature is a must. The wheels are great for bumpy roads and snowbanks. I can fit lots of groceries in the basket underneath(although excessive weight causes it to snap off). The seats recline easily, which is great for the baby. The seat covers come off easily to wash. The stroller is heavier - but all joggers are. It folds easily and the wheels come off for putting it in the trunk very easily. I can fit through any door that is handicap accessible and most buildings have a handicap accessible door. Fitting through doorways has only been a problem for me once and then I just folded the stroller and went in sideways. Cons: There is no child snack cup. I ended up putting velcro on the front bar and velcro on a small tupperware and sticking that to the bar. The sun shade does not block the sun very well. I ended up purchasing the Double Ray Shade, which works but does flop around on windy days. In addition to the Double Ray Shade, I also purchased the Graco Double Rain Shield which works great for rain or cold weather. The girls stay toasty warm under it. I also purchased the BOB handlebar console which fits GREAT. It holds my phone, keys, two waterbottles, etc. Overall, I LOVE my stroller. I have a single jogging stoller made by this company and loved it.When I received the stroller the hinge on the shade was broken.I called InStep and then immediately shipped me a replacement part.Will definitely buy from this company again. Great stroller     On: 2008-02-17 I bought this stroller for my twins, and got them because amazon had a great deal on it but I was thinking that there was no way that the stroller would be much good (at that price it would have been too good to be true). Well we have a graco and jeep for our twins but this has become our main stroller now. I dont mind using it for grocery store trips even. It is bit heavy but leaves plenty of space in my minivan. walking with it is a breeze.....you dont feel like you are pushing anything. I love it and recommend it to all twin moms. Great design. Dangerous~     On: 2008-02-10 This stroller may seem like a bargain, but three-wheeled double strollers are much more dangerous than four-wheeled strollers. Whenever you are putting weight on the front wheel, like when are on uneven ground or going up even one step, the entire stroller becomes unstable and can tip. This happened to us. Just going up one step onto our patio, the stroller tipped, and we have two bumped heads. Maybe you shouldnt even go up one step, but the reality is that three-wheels give a lot less balance than four. Certainly worth the extra money for a four wheeled jogging stroller! Great stroller     On: 2008-01-29 I love this stroller and bought it when my boys are 4 months and 2. (Dont jog with it if your child is under 6 months.) The boys were very comfortable and really enjoyed it. It is easier to push than my other strollers. There is a place for little feet so they dont get in the way of the front wheel. It is designed so it fits (barely) through handicap accessible doorways, so I even took it to doctor visits sometimes. (I did bump a few doorways though.) The only complaint I have is the height of the handlebar and that it is not adjustable. Im 53" and even I thought it could be higher. My husband wouldnt be able to use it. The InStep Safari seems to do the job. It handles the rough sidewalks better than any umbrella stroller and my kids seem comfortable riding in it. Obviously, the design and construction are not as good as the BOB, nor does the material seem as comfortable. A BOB will come with pads for the shoulder straps: this one doesnt. For the price though, you have to expect that its not going to have the BOB bells-and-whistles. Two considerations: (1) If youre seriously thinking about using a stroller for jogging/running, I would opt for a different, higher quality stroller. This one does not have a hand brake and does not seem sturdy enough for a speedy ride. (2) Consider the height restriction: 38 inches. My two-year-old is 35 inches and her head nears the top of the seat and her legs almost hang over the foot rest. If you have a tall child, you may want to choose a different stroller. Great Stroller for the price     On: 2008-01-14 This is a great stroller, especially for the price. I am a mother of two, a 3 1/2 year old and a 13 month old, and they love when we go to the park for a walk or run. I had a hard time before getting this stroller at Christmas doing that, because I only had a single jogging stroller and a tandem double. This left my daughter either riding her bike or walking, or using the tandem and only being able to walk. After getting this stroller we have been able to go several times, and they both love it. It is so easy to use. The swivel wheel is wonderful; I would gladly kiss whoever decided to put one of these on a stroller. I can push and turn it with one hand. It is even easier than the single Eddie Baurer stroller I had when my daughter was a baby. There have been some who had trouble with their older children not fitting. My daughter is 3 1/2 and is about 39 inches tall. She really doesnt have any problem fitting in the stroller at all. Her legs still fit on the leg prop, but even when she lets them dangle, they dont get in the way at all. The only thing that I would add is a place for the kids to put their drinks. I had seen someone else say that on their review, and that they had ordered the BOB console in addition. They put the BOB part on the handlebars for the parents use, and the small one that came with the stroller on the kids bar for their use. That works out wonderfully, and now both kids and myself have a drink holder. There is also a place to put your keys, money, etc. Highly recommend getting this in addtion. I love taking my kids out in this fabulous stroller! Its SO easy to push and feels like Im pushing a feather! It glides easily also over rough ground and is perfect for long walks. Great stroller for walks even on the beach!     On: 2007-12-24 This stroller is great! Its easy to put together, and my boys seem to love it! Weve had it at the beach twice (in the sand) and it works great, especially once you get through the loose sand. I did end up getting the BOB cup holder, and that helped a lot with water & key / phone storage. If you do take it on the beach, because of the sand and salt water, the aluminum wheels will start to rust....just rinse them clean after each run. A really great jogger     On: 2007-12-23 This is a wonderful jogger. Although I only use it to walk, we do walk up and down hills and some rough paths and it handles like a dream - so easy to push and turn - makes the old double stroller seem like a relic. Assembly was easy and quick. It has a nice basket underneath but its a little hard to access. The cup holders that attach to the handlebar are only adequate but the rest of the stroller makes up for it. However, I called the 1-800 number and they sent me a new one without question or hassel. It arrived within a couple of days. Overall, we are very pleased. The only thing...     On: 2007-11-30 ....I dont like about this stroller is that it doesnt have a good way to shield my babies from the direct sunlight. I think it stinks that you have to buy extra screens and rainguards for strollers when you will ovbiously need these items! Other than that this stroller has been a lifesaver. I recently brought home twin boys, and once my "help" left town after two weeks, it was great to be able to run the babies around the neigborhood. They love riding in it, and its so easy to maneuver I love pushing it. Couldn't live without it!     On: 2007-11-26 My girls are 18 months apart, this stroller was one of the best purchases I have ever made. It folds easily and fits in my car and is the only stroller I have ever owned, and Ive owned about 10, that i can easily manuever with one hand. That means that when the baby is grouchy and refuses to sit in the stroller on the way back to the car, I can hold her on my hip and stear the stroller loaded with my toddler and all our gear with no problem. There are occasionally doors we dont fit through unless we open up the door next to it, but again the stroller is so manueverable its really not a big deal. I was worried about the reviews that talked about kids not being able to sit up all the way, but my girls, who are usually very finicky about that kind of thing, have never had an issue with it. They love the smooth ride and have no problem sitting side by side. Worth the $$     On: 2007-11-24 After a lot of research on what stroller would meet my needs and budget, I settled on this one. I wanted a swivel wheel and the weight capacity. After using it perhaps a dozen times with my 34lb almost 3-year-old and my 7-month old, here are my comments: Pros: easy to assemble; handles very well despite the weight difference; folds down small enough to fit in the trunk of my 2002 Grand Am; plenty of storage room underneath; soft parent console easily fits a water bottle; binky, keys, and extra toys/snacks; would definitely recommend it especially for the price. Cons: my 2-year-old is rather tall for her age (80th percentile) and her head all but hits the sun shade (we usually just keep it down and wear hats) and there isnt really a good place for her feet; although the seats recline separately, they dont sit up very far, so its a bit awkward for my oldest (we usually put a blanket or jacket behind her and she does much better). Like so many other reviewers have already said, the canopy is a waste of fabric. Other than that, this stroller rides incredibly smoothly and turns on a dime. Only thing I would like to mention though is this. Just like with shoes, they are joggers and walkers. The swivel wheel is not meant for serious jogging, even though you can lock it in place it does not provide the same comfort a 16 inch wheel would. You may jog a little but don;t expect to run a 5k with it. For my purposes, walking everyday and all together more than 30 Miles a week, it holds up pretty good. double stroller     On: 2007-11-13 very nice, easy to put together, I could do it for my daughter on my own. The only problem with it is not enough storage for all day outtings. The basket is not easily accesible and holds only very small things. There is no storage on back of the seats. Other than that I LOVE IT !!! GREAT STROLLER     On: 2007-11-11 My 3 and 17 month old love this stroller. They like being side-by-side and both of my children are 95% in height and they fit perfect in it. I really like it a lot. It turns and moves very easily opposed to my other double stroller which wasnt side-by-side. Im very happy with this product. You get what you pay for     On: 2007-11-05 I took this stoller out of the box, put the wheels on and stood it up (very easy to assemble). It just looked cheap. There are no extra pockets for the kids or parents. My 2 1/2 year old daughters head looked like it was hitting the "sun canopy". The sun canopy is a waste of fabric, there is no way that it will cover the sun from the kids eyes, it tilts up!! I put this right back into the box and sent it back right away. I am now getting a BOB instead. You definately get what you pay for. Great for the Price!     On: 2007-11-05 We have had this stroller for over 4years and it has been through the war! We now have four kids all of which ride it in or have rode in it. Our 6yr and 4yr old sit on the little triangle foot part and hang on while the 2yr old and 6mo old sit in the seats. We have been through many 5K and 10Ks with it and it has heald up great. We wouldnt recomend it for things like going shoping cause it is wider than a single stroller but it does fit through a 36" door which most dont. It has even heald up going through the air plane trips. Usuly they get broken or dammaged but it is durable. It is great to take to the beach and hiking on wide trails. After four years of hard abuse to it, we are finaly looking to get another one. The backs are higher than the other strollers that we have tried out. And the pocket in the back holds our sports bottles and cuppies (it only fits five cups but they stay pretty secure) But are still keeping the old one for when we do go running all the kids will have a seat. I hope this helps! So Far so Good!     On: 2007-10-25 It has worked out well for us so far. We have a 2 year old boy and a 4 year old boy. We are enjoying having the swivel wheel. It is hard to get through doors at the mall but can be done! Now I dont have to lift the whole stroller just to turn it! It works very well for walks. The storage space below is not huge but ample if you use wisely. It will not fit my large purse or my large diaper bag but I put purse and diaper stuff in a backpack for the Fair and was able to fit it in there as well as other items like coats, blankets, waters. Its just not very deep. I may need to write another review in a year to make sure all is still well! Best Product I Have Purchased Yet!!!!     On: 2007-10-25 This stroller is AMAZING!!! My twins love it!!! And so does my four-year old. It is so... easy to handle and the girls love being next to each other instead of one in front of the other. It is large enough for the girls and when necessary I put my four-year old in with them or he sits on the front. AND its still very easy to push. It folds up easily. A bit on the large side but not heavy. I would never recommend the tandem stroller to anyone after this. Front tire can be locked for jogging and unlocked for shopping. Stroller easily fits through store doors. Simply this is an AWSOME stroller!!! We found the jogger far less bulky and easier to push up hills etc. My kids like it and the baby fold down seat is great for naps. I wish it had a parent tray and child tray however. I feel like my kids are safe and this was a great buy! Dangerous!     On: 2007-10-19 When my husband and I ordered this stroller, we read all of the great reviews. Yes, the stroller is great looking. Yes, it rides really smoothly. However, upon actually using the stroller, we have had the front swivel wheel fall off of the stroller TWICE while both of our daughters were inside. The front wheel is attached with a lock-in lever, which apparently comes loose on its own, after use. This is a dangerous stroller and should be purchased with great caution. I am trying to get in contact with InStep, as the wheel should be screwed in securely, not with a latch. This is recall material! Perfect Fit     On: 2007-10-13 I bought this product for the swivel wheel and to fit two children. So far it has worked perfectly, and is very easy to push up and down hills as well as over bumpy ground. I highly reccomend. So Easy to Push     On: 2007-10-03 I had a double Peg Pergo stroller before this one for my twins. It was very difficult to push once they were over 20 pounds each. This stroller is so easy to push and has good control. A pretty good stroller     On: 2007-09-27 I have to say I am enjoying this stroller so far. It fits both of my kids and handles like a dream with the swivel front wheel. There are some drawbacks....for one its heavy! I have a hard time putting it into my trunk and it doesnt really fold down very compactly. It BARELY fits in my trunk so make sure you have a large trunk to fit this in. Also the sun shield on this is worthless I had to buy the kiddopatamus brand attachment. Also not much cup holder storage for me so I also bought an extra attachment for that. Great Buy!     On: 2007-09-26 I was a little leary about buying a big double stroller... especially online! After reviewing and comparing double strollers for hours and hours, we decided to buy the Instep Safari. What a great buy this was! Although it can be a little heavy to lift, it pushes very easily. The swivel wheel makes steering with one hand no problem. Although the canopy doesnt do a whole lot to block out the sun, a nice weather covering can be purchased at Target for $14... helps keep the wind and rain out. I found the leaning problem with the seats could be easily fixed by tightening the center strings as tight as possible, and letting the outside strings hang a little loose. This way the kids lean to the outside more. It really isnt much of a problem though. The kids seem very happy riding in it. This stroller is definitely worth the money! Bad Packaging, Good Stroller!     On: 2007-09-26 When the item arrived the box was very dented and looked like it had been opened before. Luckily the product was not damaged at all and was in good condition. The stroller is very nice, and my girls 4 and 1 1/2 really enjoy being able to sit next to each other. I love the swivel wheel and it works just as well when just one child is in it. It works well on grass/dirt and I am very excited for the use I am going to get out of it. The biggest problem is that when folding it and unfolding it, the front hard plastic over the wheel and the handle get slightly scratched. love     On: 2007-09-25 I realy like this product and brand when my dauter was a baby 7 years ago, I had a single stroller but used it so much that I wore it out, it was great. I can easily push two toddling children in it. We use it every single day! I highly recommend it. Great for jogging but not much else     On: 2007-09-18 We just purchased this stroller--we even tested it around the store. It fit into the bathrooms, through the aisles and everything without a problem. Unfortunately, I had to nurse my newest child instead of test drive it myself. Big mistake. We purchased this for an evening walk my two kids and I will be doing nightly. It was under $200 and we thought, "GREAT!" On top of that, it looks snazzy. It was even fairly simple to put together. Outside it works great...as long as you dont have to turn many corners or do any tight turns. Its quite awkward if you want to turn it. Because we live in a place that snows, we often go to malls around us on winter nights to do the mall walk. We did a practice walk today (it rained), and were taking it back to the store tomorrow. Its just way too awkward. Avoiding crowds, following ramps, making turns in a tight store, making even a long, wide turn just doesnt work well. Thats not even mentioning that we couldnt get it through the average door at the mall. So if youre wanting to use this for outdoor use, go for it. It stands on its on, making storage easy. If youre wanting to make this your everyday use stroller, think twice. Especially if youre going to be taking it out by yourself AT ALL, I would REALLY think twice. Pros: Stylish, durable, adjustable to terrian, easy to assemble, kids seem happy in it, great for jogging Cons: Heavy (but what double stroller isnt? At 30 pounds its a lightweight compared to some of the larger ones), awkward turning, just slightly too large for the average doorway, and it allows your kids to bother each other. Constantly. Also, its not for use in compact cars at all. In the end, youre going to get what you paid for it. Are you going to get 5 years out of it? Probably not. Are you going to be able to use this everyday while you shop? Probably not. Will it take you the miles if youre a walker/runner? You better believe it. I probably would have more to report on, but like I said--we bought it today, used it tonight, and its going back tomorrow. Were going to spend a little more and invest in a Graco Quattra Tour Duo instead, like we had originally intended. Awesome Double Jogging Stroller     On: 2007-09-16 This double jogging stroller is perfect. The swivel fron wheel is a must and makes walking or running with this stroller a dream. Both my husband and I love this stroller. The only complaints we have are the canopy or lack there of. It really needs to be larger or longer in front, to keep the sun out of my childrens eyes. Also, there is no parent console for drinks. However, the BOB Handlebar Console For Duallie Strollers fits perfectly. I highly recommend this stroller! Just what I was looking for!!!     On: 2007-09-15 After reading the reviews I decided to give this stroller a try...it was everything I was looking for!!! It is awesome!! And the price is great. Much better deal on amazon than other websites!! Because my middle daughter is 4 and my younger daughter 2, I was afraid the stroller would be too small. However, it works great even for my 4 year old. She is only 33 lbs but is tall and still fits in the stroller great. My girls love it and so do I. After using a double tandem stroller for years this stroller moves so easily and turns great. I really love it and would highly suggest it for the mom who loves to get out for a good walk. The front wheel does have a lock so you can lock it into place for jogging or unlock for walking. The colors look great!! I couldnt be more pleased!!! Handle Bar     On: 2007-09-14 I love this Stroller! Myself or my husband use it 5 days a week for daily walks and/or outdoor adventures and works great. The only thing for TALL people to be aware of is the handle bar DOES NOT extend to accomidate taller people. I researched for a couple of weeks for the best stroller for what I wanted to use it for without paying high dollar for a name brand one. There was a couple of reviews on amazon and other websites that carried the same stroller and said that the handle bar adjusted to different heights. NOT TRUE!! My husband is 63" and I am 510" it works fine, but would be a little more comfortable if the handle bar could adjust a couple inches. So I just did not want anyone to get false information. Also amazon delivered the stroller in just a couple days, I was so impressed. Would recommend this product and amazon to friends. Awesome Double Stroller!     On: 2007-09-14 I bought so many different strollers its crazy. When my daughter was 4, my son 2, figured Id get a new jogging stroller and that a single would be fine because it wouldnt be long until she was too big for a stroller anyway. So I bought the single Safari TT and loved it but she wasnt ready to give up that luxury so I went back and purchased the Double Safari TT also. They are both the best stroller out there, especially for the price. The front wheel can swivel OR stay stationary (I prefered the swivel because I dont jog : ) and it pushes with such ease, even when there are two children on board! It takes very little effort, even walks on country roads were a breeze. The maneuverability is incredible. I disagree with a previous review that they outgrow it and that its not made for taller children because both of my kids are tall for their ages and we were still using it last year at the ages of 4 and 6. Granted she has definitely outgrown it now and her legs would hang over - but there was plenty of seating room for both to ride comfortably. Two thumbs up, this was a fantastic investment while I could use it. Highly recommend if youre shopping for a double stroller, no matter what the purpose (jogging, shopping, walking...). Awesome awesome stroller. Double Storller     On: 2007-09-13 For the most part Im very happy with my stroller. My 4 year old and 8 1/2 month old love to go walking/running. The ride is much smoother. The front swivel wheel is great. The only problem that I have is the canopy. It doesnt provide enough shade and it doesnt lie flat. It looks like the front of the canopy angles up a bit. All in all its good. I would recommend InStep to make a better canopy. You get what you pay for - usually     On: 2007-09-11 Since this double jogging stroller was one of the least expensive ones available, I tried to keep my expectations low. But all the positive reviews convinced me that maybe this was one of those rare occasions where you actually get more than what you pay for. A good deal, even. Its not. The fabric is cheap and the padding is flimsy. There is no separation between the two seats so both kids roll toward the center. There is no hand brake so if youre on any incline, youll need to apply the foot break with is really stiff and difficult to use. It shouldnt be called a foot brake if you have to squat down under the stroller and yank it up and down with your hand to engage or release it. The canopy is a joke, barely shielding the kids heads when the sun is directly above and useless if the sun is anywhere else in the sky. The pushing handle is rubber, not soft foam. The handle is also wasit high for me, an average height person, so my wrists are always at an uncomfortable angle while pushing. The color of blue is ugly and generic looking. The seats wont sit up straight enough and my kids get tired of slouching. They cant reach the front bar of the stroller when they are fastened in so it ends up being just some other obstacle to putting them into the stroller. The fasteners on the belt are sharp and hard to fasten, pinching my fingers each time I use them. I hope I can save someone the trouble of thinking this stroller is a good deal and then having to pay to return it. My kids love it!     On: 2007-09-06 My daughter was so excited to get this two seater stroller. We were going to Yellowstone with two small children, so we decided to buy this stroller. I researched a lot of different strollers. For the price and style this seemed to fit us best. The overhead cover is not long enough, and there is no parent cupholder. I knew this when I bought it. We have used it to go exercise. The stroller rides very smooth. We love the swival wheel option. Great stroller, questionable tires     On: 2007-08-29 After using the stroller one time it seems like it is going to be great. It is very easy to handle and folds nicely. However, one of the tires has already gone flat from a puncture of a sticker weed. I dont know if this is coincidence or if the tubes are poor quality. There is a remedy to this situation. I will be replacing original tubes with thorn resistant ones (a $20-$30 price tag). Great Stroller!!!!!     On: 2007-08-29 I bought this stroller for my 8 month old and 2 1/2 yr old. It drives great! Easy to push...even with one hand. The seats recline separatly so i can lay my baby back to sleep while my 2 1/2 yr old watches the world! It was easy to assemble (i was able to do it myself). I do wish it had a bigger storage compartment but i still can fit most anything i need to put down there. The sunshade is a little small but as great as the actual stroller works this was a minor detail for me. I am overall very happy with this stroller and i would suggest it to any parent of 2. I love this stroller!     On: 2007-08-25 We purchased this stroller because we have a four-year-old, a one-year-old and are expecting a baby any day now. Weve had it four a couple of months now and use it frequently. Our oldest is quite tall for his age (wears size six super-slim) and fits fine (appears he will for quite some time as there is considerable adjustment with the straps and great leg room). I also wanted a stroller where the kids would be able to interact, not be forward/behind like most double strollers. We took it on vacation the day after it arrived (great timing, Amazon!) and the boys were holding hands during a mild wait for dinner -- it was precious! We have the single InStep and at first loved it, but the double is great because you dont have to take off the front wheel to collapse it and the front wheel swivels for extra-easy driving. This thing is practically self-propelled. Straps are easy to figure out and easy to buckle or unbuckle (for the adult). To collapse this stroller you just gently squeeze a trigger and it collapses for you... VERY nice! Over-all it is not as heavy (or doesnt seem so) as our single InStep so managing to lift into a trunk or van is a breeze. It will go over any terrain as weve been on trails, curbs, sandy walkways, up and down steps (backwards) etc with ease; sure beats the umbrella-type strollers with the double wheels in front! I use it over the single InStep even if I am walking with just one child in it as it is so much easier to handle than the single InStep; it does not track to one side with the weight of only one child, as you might think. The roomy storage area under the unit is easy to reach and is divided for keeping baby stuff seperate from adult stuff. The price was excellent and in line with high-end single strollers. Drawbacks: "Sun" roof is useless but a crib flat sheet works to drape just fine; The storage bag to velcro over the pushing handle is useless as there is no flap to cover the stuff that wants to fall out as you are walking (we bought a cheap canvas bookbag and velcroed it to the handle to remedy the problem and it works just fine); The cushioned seats are not easily removable to launder (like cheap car-seats are that just have elastic bands to hold the seat cushion on -- easy to launder; expensive car seats are a pain to clean!); Not a fault of the stroller, just something to bear in mind with a side-by-side unit, that if you are in a store with narrowish aisles it is rather a job to keep little hands from exploring shelves while not bumping into tight areas; Does have some difficulty with narrow doors (like Galena IL or Wisconsin Dells main street-type businesses); Swivel wheel (while GREAT for driving) does not have a locking pin so when folding it might get away from you if you are not expecting it (not a slam on how simple it is to fold, however). "Cadillac" of strollers     On: 2007-08-24 This is a fabulous stroller! It glides so smoothly; the swivel front wheel is awesome for steering. I am not a jogger, but I walk around town a lot, and the standard strollers do not cut it on the terrain. This stroller is a pleasure to drive, for both my husband and me (he is 62, and Im 54). There is plenty of cargo space, from the parent tray with 2 cup holders, to the storage underneath, and a handy pocket on the back. Two things to note: this is better for use outdoors, as it will not fit through the door at the post office or grocery store; also, the front wheel has a quick-release feature - be sure to check for tightness. I saw my 2-year old messing around with the switch, but did not double-check behind him. When my brother was running with the stroller, the wheel released and the stroller turned over from momentum (they were going fast trying to get out of a massive rain downpour). The bright side of this is that we discovered how effective the seat straps are, and the kids were not hurt (only scared). *Note that this was an accident by the user, and not a defect of the stroller* I think this is a great stroller at a great price (~$180 after shipping when I bought it 18 months ago). I also have the single-stroller of the same model, but the straps do not tighten enough to keep my boy from climbing out (although hes more of a Houdini than his older 2 brothers). One more plus - the seat pads are easily removed and can be washed in the regular laundry. Love the Stroller     On: 2007-08-23 I have a three year old and 6 month old and the stroller is perfect. I love the swivel front wheel it makes turning so easy. I am not much of a jogger but walking with the stoller is very easy. It is a little wide, so going through a single door is a little tricky. I also ordered the sunshade, and promptly sent it back. It did me no good. The regular shade was fine. You would not believe the random people that stop us and say they love the stroller. We even had one lady ask if she could push the stroller a little ways. Wonderful Product!!!!     On: 2007-08-16 This stroller is wonderful. I had a tandem stroller for my two small sons and found it very difficult to manuever. This stroller makes walking a breeze. I use it everywhere. I strongly recommend this product. InStep Safari 2 Double Sport Swivel Stroller     On: 2007-08-13 Very good stroller for price, the models that were $500.00 and up werent that much better. Easy to push. Kind of bulky to store when folded up. Received item very quickly after placing order. Worth every penny!     On: 2007-08-10 There really isnt anything bad I can say about this wonderful stroller. It is a bit heavy to try and get in the car, but since I really only use it to take my girls with me when I exercise, that really isnt an issue. It fits in the trunk of my 2007 Chevy Impala with plenty of room to spare, and folds up quickly and easily to store in the garage. That being said this is the best stroller I have ever used. It is so easy to push. I can keep it going with one finger while I am walking with both of my girls in it. It turns just as easily. It has the lock or swivel wheel in front which is really nice. My 3 year old is pretty tall for her age and has plenty of room and loves being able to play with her 7 month old sister while we walk. The only other thing that other people complained about is that the canopy is pretty much useless, which is true if the sun is right in front of you, but thats an issue with any stroller. I got the Kiddopotamus Rayshade and that takes care of the problem. I did a lot of research before purchasing this stroller and this is an excellent stroller. I just cant say it enough! I am so happy with it. If you are thinking about buying this dont hesitate, its awesome!! Great but no sun protection     On: 2007-08-10 This stroller is great. Independent seat back heights allow for older and younger children to ride awake or asleep. Smooth ride. Things Id change: * add a hand brake or at the very least a wrist strap. * improve the sun shade - its totally useless. Love it!     On: 2007-08-07 I love this stroller. I run/walk with both my kids everyday and this stroller has been great. Like everyone else says, the only issue is the sun visor, but it doesnt seem to bother the kids so its fine. The swivel wheel is great and I love the rollbar because I feel like it provides a little extra security when running hills. A Steal for the Money     On: 2007-07-30 While trying out a regular jogging stroller, I quickly realized that I needed one with a swivel wheel (Im not so much a jogger as I am a walker on rough city streets and gravelly paths); I looked into the more expensive brands but simply couldnt swing the $ and opted for this one. Im super impressed with this stroller!!! It is relatively lightweight and rides smoothly. The undercarriage basket is somewhat shallow and the drawstring seat recliner is odd (I often end up with a lopsided toddler), but I think the pros far outweigh those two little issues, especially with regard to how much money I saved :) Id recommend this stroller to everyone! A Great Buy!     On: 2007-07-25 I recently purchased the In Step Safari double stroller and we LOVE it. My twins are only 3 mos old but they fit comfortably in the stroller (as does my four-year old!) and enjoy every minute of walking, jogging and just hanging around. It is so lightweight and easy to manuever that I can lieterally push it with my fingertip! My only frustration is that the shade does not really provide shade, although I hear none of the strollers really do!. Otherwise, I would highly recommend it. Great Product     On: 2007-07-23 I read the reviews of several before purchasing this particular stroller. After having this stroller for over a month, I love it. Its very light to pick up, easy to fold and lift and very easy to push and steer. I have not had to use the swivel wheel as of yet. The storage underneath is handy and it has pocket on the back. The pocket does not hold heavy items and there is no place for a drink holder. My kids are almost 3 years old and they do not seem to mind that there is not a cup or snack holder. They enjoy riding in it because they get to sit side by side and they also like the canopy. I guess my only complaint would be not having an adult cup holder but I already knew that when I bought it. This stroller was in my price range and I am not disappointed with this purchase at all. Great Jogging Stroller!     On: 2007-07-23 This is a great jogging stroller as far as quality and value are concerned. I use it almost daily for long walks and jogs with my twins. It seems to just glide over the bumps and ridges in the sidewalk. I would highly recommend this product. AWESOME!     On: 2007-07-20 After much reviewing on double strollers I opted for a jogger since I had the front and back stroller with my 5 yr old and 2 yr old. She was 3 and he was a newborn and it was not so comfy for the 2 of them. I got rid of everything since I thought we were done having kids. when baby 3 came I was sure I didnt want the double stroller that I had last time. My oldest son is 2.5 and my youngest son is 2 months. I put them in the stroller and go around the nieghborhood. And I must say that the swivel wheel makes all the difference. Its great in the neighborhood and its great in the mall. Its kinda bulky though...it doesnt fit to well in my trunk and I have a Ford Escape. I got the kiddopatumas sun shade too cuz the shade it comes with isnt that great. When I opened it a part was missing so I called customer service for instep and they were WONDERFUL! When the part came I realized that I had told them the wrong part and when I called them to fix it..it smoothly and easily. I LOVE THIS STROLLER! and I highly recommend it. Great for everything     On: 2007-07-18 We recently purchased this to replace our old Greco double stroller. We have a 10 month old and a 3 year old. The three year old is very tall and was growing out of the other stroller. We love this stroller. One of our best puchases. The girls love sitting next to each other rather then in front and they both fit very comfortably.The stroller is easy to use. The front wheel locks with one lever. It folds so easly. I was not sue I could get it in my car,Sonata, but I just take the wheels off and It fits perfevtly! The wheels come off and go on vey easy. The only complaints are there is no cup holder, parents and children,and the sun shade is too small it doesnt block the sun.We purchased the additional parents cupholder carrier and are going to purchase the add on to the sun shade. Over all our family loves this stroller. Great Stroller for the price     On: 2007-07-14 Ive had this stroller for almost 2 years. Its great. I use it for streets and during my stroller class where its a walk/jog situation. It glides and makes walking fun with your children. Ive switched strollers with other moms who cant believe how great it is. You cant beat it for the price. I have friends who have bought the expensive ones and I dont regret my decision. The swivel wheel is fabo! The down side - I wish the canopy was larger. It doesnt sheild the children from the elements very well. A cup holder for mom and kiddos would be great. I bought one that goes to a bobs double stroller and it works well. It can tip over if the children decide to stand and lean backwards. I did quite a bit of research at the request of my coworkers who wanted to buy a congratulatory stroller for my wife and I. I could not stomach the thought of sticking anyone (sane) with a $500+ stroller bill - the InStep seemed perfect. In short, we have loved this thing from day one. It rides great and, with the exception of a slow leak in one tire (fixed with foam), we have had no problems. As mentioned in other reviews, there is not much protection from the sun, so the Kiddopotamus Rayshade is rather necessary. Note on that ... the shade is not very steady when windy. Good luck with your search! Good stroller, but missing some little things     On: 2007-07-11 Compared to the Sit-n-Stand stroller we were using, this stroller has worked great for us. We walk every night and the sit-n-stand was just not durable enough to cover bumpy sidewalks. We have a tall 2 1/2 year old and a 4 month old. It is an extremely smooth ride, very easy to maneuver, and feels very light to push. The swivel wheel is great and makes maneuvering that much easier. Our 4 month old can sleep almost the entire walk without being jolted awake after running over a crack in the sidewalk. The 2 1/2 year old sits up and just holds the safety bar because the seat does not come up very far. The sun shade is pretty much useless. We have been using a blanket to cover up the baby and that works ok until the wind blows it off. We will probably end up buying the Kiddopotamus Shade and hope it works. [We did the buy the Kiddopotamus shade. Works well, but flies up at the hint of a breeze. We only walk with it, so it works well for us. ~$[...].] The soft parent console is not very sturdy. I would not trust a water bottle in it. We bought a cup attachment and that works fairly well. (Just bought the BOB parent tray - works great.) There is no place for the kids to put a cup or snack [moved the previously purchased cup holder to the safety bar, 2 1/2 year old loves it]...we will probably purchase some sort of attachment for that. To sum up, we are very happy with the stroller and the price we paid, but will probably end up spending $[...]-$[...] more to make if functional for us. I hesitated to buy it because: A) I was nervous about putting my baby in with my toddler and B) I didnt think it would fit in the trunk of my car (Nissan Altima)or if it did, I didnt want to have to remove the front tire to do so... But, after splurging and buying it, it is better than I had hoped it would be. My husband, who said "How many strollers do we need?" now uses it more than I do! The ride is soooo smooth, even on our rough sidewalks and at the park, etc., where the ground isnt flat. It is so easy to maneuver, you can do it with one hand easily. Plus, Im 53" and not that strong, but I can get it in and out of my trunk by myself and carry it to and from the house, and I dont have to remove the front wheel. The girls fit nicely in it and I dont have the problem the other reviewer had about them not sitting in it straight - must be a problem with their particular stroller. I love that you can have one child reclined, while the other is sitting up. The basket underneath is pretty standard - they are never easily accessible on any stroller - at least I can get into this one - some you cant get into at all if the kids are in it. I also have no problem with the brake - I just push it down with my foot and pull it back up with my toe to release it - not sure what was wrong with the other reviewers brake, but mine is just like my single strollers brake. BUT-YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ! I thought i researched enough but...The cheap price comes at a price. 1. The canopy or lack there of is an insult to the consumer! It only shades the children if the sun is at noon or behind us. 2. The parent "Console" is a floppy mesh bag that holds a bottle and keys,but dont expect it hold your bottle upright, it just dangles from the handle bar leaning way too backward. 3. The storage below is great--if you can get to it! It is positioned way too far under the stroller you must stoop, and kind of blindly wave your hand around for what you want(what the kids want):) 4. My kids are 6 months and 21 months. Both of them are forced to lean to the inside. No matter what i do with the cord(uses a cord to raise and lower seat backs) Or seats, they still are crushed together after only one week. I can figure after years but one week??? 5. My 21 month old is 26 pounds and normal height 36" She is almost hitting the top of the canopy in the upright position. Not much room to grow!! 6. The brake works great! Just have to stoop and use your hands to disengage it from the dirty wheels! A foot release would have been great since that is how its engaged! Bottom line: I would send it back in a minute and pay extra for the things i have to compromise. Have already spent 40.00 for a sun shade that actually shades, and a console that stays upright and holds more than a toothpick !! My wife uses it alot for taking our two kids (3 and 2) running/walking around the neighborhood, but the flexibility to unlock the front wheel makes it very practicle while out shopping or sightseeing. I thought it would be too big to get around with, but the pivoting front wheel makes it very mobile. The stroller is very light weight and fairly compact when folded which is VERY easy to do. Great storage is a plus as well. I guess we cant say enough good things about this stroller, if you get it, you wont be disappointed. I researched strollers for a VERY long time, and after ordering the Inglesina Twin Swift stroller and then the Safetech double stroller, I sold those and bought this hoping it would be my final. Sure it is wide--I would not really take it shopping since that would mean disaster with my two kids pulling everything down since they could reach it, but I mostly only use it for walks and outings outside. The only door I cannot fit through it one at our zoo, but those buildings are really old and so not standard I think. It goes over bumps and sidewalks and everything. I love it. The ONLY think I would change is the brake--I would prefer a brake bar rather than the breaks that you push down with your foot (cause if I wear sandals, I have to take off the brake with my hand or I feel like my sandal is going to break!). I have to hang an extra blanket on the shade to keep them away from the sun. Busy mom of two who LOVES this stroller!     On: 2007-06-13 We bought this Instep Safari TT stroller after having a Combi twin stroller (which was great for the mall - it folded up like a golf bag, and took up 1/3rd of my trunk, and weighed only about 26lbs -- however it sucked when walking outside, and I almost propelled my kids out of when I hit a small bump on the pavement)!! The safari definitely weighs a LOT MORE than the combi, BUT, because of the swivel wheel, it still actually fits in the trunk of my camry!! (Albeit, it does take up pretty much the entire area). I can also fold it fairly easily, and lift it by myself and put it in the trunk - and I do it, several times per day - so its really no big deal! I use this jogging stroller EVERY SINGLE DAY and LOVE IT - we go to the Zoo, playgrounds, on hikes through the C&O Canal, to the mall, and only occasionally have I got stuck trying to go through a single wide door. (Its just a tad wider - due to the wheels). It rolls over curbs easily, uneven pavements arent even noticeable, and off roading it through natural surface trails are no big deal! Im part of a Fun N Hip mommies group in DC and one of the most annoying things they mostly mention about their strollers is the reclining seat feature - however, on the double Safari - my kids love it - it reclines and sits up very easily, using a drawstring in the back, so they can easily take naps if need be. I WISH, WISH, WISH it had the following: A tray on the handle for me to stick a bottle of water - but yes you can use the bag that comes with it (and thats where I stick carkeys etc.,). Snack holders on the front bumper bar (which I havent figured out how to take off) so that my kids can eat their cheerios out of them, or stick their cups in them. A way to extend the handle bars to make them taller - Im 59 and it would be great if it was just even an inch or two higher. Overall though - and for the price - I recommend it to everyone I meet!! Great stroller and very inexpensive     On: 2007-06-12 I would really recommend this stroller and I use it for my 2 month old and 2 1/2 yr old for fast walks in and around our neighborhood. We live pretty close to a grocery store so I can even go there to pick up a few things. It is really not for packing in the car (although we have done that for some trips to parks like Sea World and Legoland). It is not very compact when folded. It is very light yet it seems durable. The canopy is not the greatest for sunblock as mentioned but that is easily remedied by purchasing a sunshade for double strollers. My friend has the bob double stroller which seems like an upgrade (very good quality) but in the end, mine is easier to push and a lot lighter with only 3 wheels (the bob has 4 wheels). I love it and it is an excellent price at $175. A sweet little ride...     On: 2007-06-10 I bought this stroller for two reasons, to combat high gas prices and get some exercise. I have found both and am completely thrilled with my new stroller. The yellow is a very striking color and I have gotten lots of compliments on it. I agree that the sunshade is a bit lacking (ordering the extension is another hassle in itself with a wait of MONTHS) but it covers the kids heads and I just slather on the sunscreen and bought some misting fans to help their heat factor. As for function I have only found one or two doors that this stroller wont fit thru width-wise and with the swivel wheel it steers like a dream! The kids (one and four-years-old) have a smooth ride and after purchasing some thorn-resistant tubes and a bottle of Slime (a must have for anything with inner tubes) we have been good to go for weeks now. It fits perfectly behind the third seat in my minivan and doesnt require any disassembling, just a turn of the front wheel to the side. This stroller is great for my needs. I can even push it with one hand. It moves beautifully over smooth sidewalks and bumpy ones, too. The seats are more upright than I thought--most reviews complain about how far back they are reclined. I have not found this to be an issue. My kids love the stroller so far. The front swivel wheel is the best. The negatives Ive found are: no real parent console (there is a little bag type thing), the folded stroller is a little combersome but manageable if your vehicle is large enough for it, and the sun shade is not quite large enough to shade the children if you are walking in the sun. The seat backs do lay back a bit, which is a little weird for my almost 3 yr old, but is fine for my 6 monther. I had my heart set on the BOB duallie, but with a $500 price, it wasnt an option, this is a fine alternative. THe color combo is awesome-and the swivel wheel is incredible. I will never buy a jogging stroller without a swivel wheel after using this one!! It is a tad on the heavy side when folded, but it is still doable- I do have some suggestions for InStep though, if anyone from there is reading my review!: 1. If you are going to continue to make a sun shade, at least make one that is functional that will actually provide shade!! No sense wasting money producing the current shade version, it is practically useless. Charge a few bucks more and make a great one (I have a BOB single stroller and the shade is incredible!!!) and 2. Provide some type of mesh pocket within the childs seat for them to put a water bottle/snack etc. There is great parent storage under this stroller-but nothing for the kids to utilize! (I ended up strapping the little parent console part onto to the bar in front of the kids so that my toddler can keep her snack there. The best thing was...when it was delivered, a piece was broken off a part of the stroller. I find the strollers manuverability to be fantastic. I mostly run/walk trails and this stroller is holding up well over the rougher terrain. One of my fears was that the stroller wouldnt fit into the trunk of my car (Nissan Altima), but with the quick(and easy)release function on the tires, the stroller collapes nicely and fits fine. Although I havent used it (because I just placed the order for one), INSTEP makes a travel bag that I believe will be helpful when packing for trips. Love this jogger!     On: 2007-05-13 For the price and free shipping, I still cannot get over what a great deal this stroller is! I love the swivel wheel for walking and then the ability to lock it for running. My kids are 30 months and 18 months and they generally handle sitting next to each other fairly well. I really like the see-through top though for when they get at each other. I appreciate the baskets underneath and the soft pouch console, too. The baskets are just big enough for the basic needs of either running or a quick trip to the mall. Sure, it cant handle great big diaper bags or too many shopping bags, but then again, its not really designed for that. The cup holder in the soft pouch is perfect for a bottled water or drink but paper fountain drinks with straws are a different story. There again, it isnt designed for that. My one "complaint" that I hope can be improved in the future is the shade. It simply isnt adequate to protect their little eyes from the blazing sun if youre running between 9am and 7pm. We live in Florida and I have to base my runs on a north-south direction because of this. Its easily solvable with the purchase of a Ray-Shade, which I will soon be getting, I just wish I didnt have to bother. Oh well, not too big of a deal. Anyway, hope this helps you decide! I would not recommend it for the mall or other areas that require a lot of turning and weaving. None of the wheels turn directionally, which is why I mention that. A few people seemed disappointed with its ability to navigate in tight spaces, but thats not what its built for. This is the first time Ive run with a stroller and it does add 15-20% to the effort, but if youre a runner and you have little guys, you know how hard it is to get in your miles! Stability is excellent, easy to push, but the thing that gets me about running with a stroller is that you cant swing your arms with your stide. I never thought that would be so tough. I end up pushing it with one hand, which seems easier. InStep Safari 2 Double Sport Swivel Stroller     On: 2007-05-12 This is the third buggy we have purchased for our twins so we already know a little about what we want and dont want in a buggy. I must say that this lives up to expectations; weve already been for walks on dirt roads, grass and sand and the buggy stands up to all three. It works very well for the environment we live in but the only negative I guess would be that it is very wide. We knew this when we bought it so it wasnt much of a surprise when it wouldnt fit through most shop doorways. I would suggest that if you want a buggy for a purely urban lifestyle, you buy a stroller. For everything else, this buggy works fantastically well. The seat padding is the best weve had yet and the seats themselves are very spacious. They could do with being brought to a more upright position but this is not a major problem as our twins simply use the grab bar to lean forward. The wheels really are very easy to remove (we have to do this in order to fit it in our boot). It was very easy to push around and big enough to hold all kinds of things. The one problem is that it is big and heavy. It wouldnt fit in my trunk and it weighs 40 lbs. or so. It didnt fit thru my front door but I didnt have too much trouble in getting into stores doors. Will probably take some getting used to. Love it!     On: 2007-05-10 I have a 1 & 2 year old and was using the heavy tandem stroller. I am a jogger and needed something lighter to push and that turns easy. This is it! Very easy to push, turns very easy and VERY easy to put together. It is a bit heavy but I fortunately dont have to tote it around, just leave it sitting in my garage and put the kids in it when it is time to run. The seats dont sit as upright as the kids would like so I have put a travel pillow behind each of them. The sunshade doesnt come up far enough and I have been researching purchasing one, but they so far all say for twin strollers even though they show a double in the picture? I knew each of these things when I purchased it from reading the other reviews so I wasnt surprised to agree with them. It is a very good buy and highly recommend it if you dont plan to take it to the mall and try to weave in and around clothes racks. The main downfall is that it is wide and limits where you can take it (small or cramped stores for example.) Instep had to send me a "parent tray" because it was not in the box and should have been. It is just a little bag that hangs from the handle and is not the greatest, but at least you have somewhere to set a drink and have your hands free... LOVE IT!!!!!!     On: 2007-05-05 OMG! I LOVE this stroller! I am walking about 7 miles each day sometimes more and I have been using a tandum stroller. It was killing me trying to push my 4 yr old and 2 yr old in that thing! Just got my new Safari Double Jogger today and OMG it is a DREAM!!!!! So much easier to handle...turns on a dime and is well worth the money! MY kids dont want to get out of it! LOL The seats are adjustable and my kids seem quite comfortable. It comes with a little parent cup/key/cell phone type holder that attaches to the stroller which is perfect for what I need when we go for our walks. The storage baskets are roomy but under the stroller so they are a little hard to get into but that is no drawback for me. The only thing I am a little uneasy with is the weight of the stroller. I have a suv so it is a little heavy trying to lift it up into my 4-runner without scratching it on the bumper and I also have to take off the one back wheel to get it to sit more steady. It is just sorta hard to grasp onto to lift but it is an awesome stroller which I would tell anyone looking to buy! I expected it would be a little heavier than what I am used to but I think the more I use it the easier it will be to lift and handle. I LOVE it! So pleased!!!! The colors are also very striking and it is a very sharp looking stroller! Great stroller, overall     On: 2007-05-04 Overall, this is a great stroller. It had everything I was looking for (i.e. a front wheel that can pivot or be locked into place; side by side seat design and ease of movement). It turns really easily and is so much easier to push than my traditional double stroller. The two problems are that it did not come with a cup holder tray (you have to buy that separately) and the sun shade is useless (it doesnt even begin to shield my kids from the sun), but I knew that before I bought it, thanks to another customers comment. However, I think it is a great stroller for the price and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to get around easily with their two children! Excellent buy!!     On: 2007-04-30 I love this stroller. Im sure my 4-year-old got tired of hearing me talking about all the things I loved while we were walking. It is SO easy to push and turns on a dime. It fits through doorways, though you have aim well or youll hit a wheel. I have a 4-year-old and an 8-month-old, and they love it. When we first put it together our 4-year-old got in and didnt want to get out. And now our 8-month-old falls asleep every morning when we walk. Its wonderful!!! It does have a little soft-sided parent "console" that actually works very well for me. It has a little pocket for my cell phone and 2 big compartments for water or whatever. Good buy     On: 2007-04-27 I received the stroller last week and very happy with it! The customer serive is also very helpful to answer all my questions. I have been searching for a double stroller for some time for my 2,4 yr old and a new born. I was first looking at a light weight umbrella style, but my kids are all uncomfortable sitting inside after trying in the store. I didnt find any local store that carry this double stroller to try on. I was encouraged to see all the positive review on Instep stroller and decide to buy it anyway. The price and value is unbeatable. WONDERFUL STROLLER!!!     On: 2007-04-22 Im what ya might call a "stroller hog." I currently have 5 strollers (including this one), however, this is the only Double Jogger I have. The others include (a Snap-N-Go for the carseat only, an umbrella stroller, a Jeep (Single) Jogger Stroller, & then a Baby Trend SitNStand) and although I really like my Jeep Single Jogger & the SitNStand, this one is by far my favorite. Its AWESOME!! I LOVE how EASY it is to push and manuver...the swivel wheel is a MUST. The only thing I have found so far that I think could use improvement is the sun shade...its very short and really doesnt do any good at all (I have a 7 month old, so she still tends to take naps during my walks, and the sun gets in her face/eyes a lot). BUT...I fixed that problem by getting a Rayshade Sun Shade and now the stroller has no "flaws" at all. It was SIMPLE to put together...I did it by myself in just 10 minutes. Bottom line...I LOVE it and would HIGHLY recommend it! OH and I was suppose to get this in 2 days and I got it overnight...so that was a nice welcome surprise. Awesome!     On: 2007-04-10 This is a better stroller than the other three (all for one child) strollers we have. Very maneuverable and adjustable. It turns on a dime and seats adjust up and down independently. Folds down very quickly. Its great that the kids can sit next to each other. Excellent Stroller     On: 2007-04-03 We bought this stroller not only for jogging but also to use at places like Disneyland. The swivel wheel makes this stroller the easiest thing to steer and our kids love it. Our kids our three and one, both fit in the stroller comfortably. The only draw back to the stroller is it does not have a cup holder for the parents. Good stroller, but be wary with taller kids who want to sit all the time.     On: 2007-03-31 I bought this stroller for my 6 mo old and 3 yo. My 3 yo daughter is tall for her age, and at 40 in her head comes above the back of the seat and she sits scrunched up when both feet are on the foot rest. When I take her out in it she usually lets one foot dangle over the side of the foot rest to be more comfortable. She is a better fit if reclined back a little, but even that is tough since her head is past the top of the seat. I dont see this stroller lasting us as long as I would hoped...like when we go back to Disney in 2 years. The weight max is 100lbs, but they must think kids are made short and fat, b/c it just doesnt accomodate taller kids. It would be nice if they made it so that the seat came all the way up to the hood... The seats are close together, too, which I guess would probably be true of any stroller. It gives my 3 yo easy access to her 6 mo old brother, though, which he doesnt particularly like. The seats are comfy, though, and I think it would be a GREAT stroller for twins or younger/shorter siblings. The front swivel wheel is awesome...so nice not having to pick up the front end every time to you want to turn. AND it easily fits into my car, which is just a small Corolla...my single Baby Trend jogger didnt even do that! I would recommend getting a sunshade extender, though...if you are facing the sun head on there is no protection at all. So overall, if you arent looking to spend $500 on a dbl stroller, I would get this one. Probably an older kid wouldnt mind SO much that he/she is a little tall...I mean, even though my daughter is she didnt complain about it, and was able to lie down on her side to nap...so it is really just me. It is a good stroller for the price, and older kids want to walk a lot of the time anyway, so its good enough. Hope my rambling review was of some help! I would recommend this stroller. Great Jogging Stroller, BUT...........     On: 2007-03-29 I received this stroller last month and I am really enjoying it. It was easy to assemble, it handles great, and it is well-made. However, there are a few things you should be aware of if you are considering purchasing it...... 1. I find it hard to lift (its HEAVY), and a little difficult to fold and unfold; 2. The break sticks a bit, but I have a feeling it may ease-up with time and use. 3. There is virtually no barrier between the two children. Mine are 15 months apart, and sometimes the older one (21 months) accidentally clobbers the younger one (6 months), because they are practically on top of eachother! 4. The sunshade is totally inadequate if you live in a warm climate, and you will probably need to purchase some type of extension (try the double rayshade by Kiddopotamus). 5. There is no parent console (or child shack tray), which I find to be a pain. I have just purchased (but have not yet received) the BOB Duallie Handlebar Console, which supposedly fits this stroller. Otherwise, its a really good jogger for the price. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY, except for...     On: 2007-03-28 The lower compartment could be easier to access, and could include a parent console. I went online and found that InStep does indeed sell the console, but only for the single stroller :( Other than that...it is GREAT. Even better is the price...beats that BOB anyday! Would definitely recommend for all moms who need to restrain those active kids and go for long walks/jogs. My 2 and 3 yr old (heavy boys) sit in it for 2 hours almost every day and I barely have to push it with my finger :) Life Saving Stroller!!!!!!!     On: 2007-03-27 This stroller is a life saver. I can actually enjoy shopping now with my 3 and 1 year old without them trying to climb out of the shopping cart. They are both strapped in and can lay back and nap or sit up and enjoy the ride.I wish it had some sort of cup holder for myself but the ride is exceptionally smoothe for the riders and myself. The only downfall, it is a little heavy and awkward lifting it into the back of my van, but what can you expect for a double stroller. All in all I would highly recommend this stroller to anyone. Great Stroller for Walks in the Neighborhood     On: 2007-03-12 I bought this stroller recently and am compelled to write a review because I love it so much. It is such a wonderful stroller. It glides easily, even with one hand. It is also very easy to open and close and is relatively lightweight, as far as double strollers go. It stores nicely when collapsed, too. It has great rubber wheels that make the ride very smooth for the passengers and extremely easy to steer for the adult. I did a lot of research on double strollers and this one seemed like the best to me. And, it is the best. I did read a lot of complaints regarding the seats -- especially that they dont sit upright, which is true. But I have found that my daughter enjoys sitting up and holding on the bar. She leans back when she wants to rest. She hasnt had any issues with the seat, luckily. I was worried about that. But it turned out to be no problem. I must say, however, that while the stroller is FANTASTIC for walks, runs, trips to the park, etc., it may be too large for using in stores. I have a tandem stroller that I keep in the car for shopping. I use this stroller solely for outside trips. Loving it, but it could use some improvements
