built not to last traning wheels     On: 2009-08-02

I bought these training wheels for my daughters bike, and let me tell you they did not last but maybe 1 hours of ride time. the left training wheel tire burnt up, and the right wheel actually fell off, causing my daughter to almost fall lucky i caught it in time. I would never buy from this company again, they dont even get one star from me. but I had to at least give them one
Pyramid Heavy Duty Steel Training Wheels for 14" to 20" Bicycles     On: 2009-07-19

These are heavy duty training wheels and very simple to install. As a grandfather I felt they were strong enough to provide the necessary safety for my grandson.
Solid part but not very compatable with most kids bike!     On: 2009-07-10

First one I order was used and missing part, but Amazon refund no problems. Second one order was solid but not very compatable with most kids bike! I had a find a work around to get them to work with my daughters Barbie bike.
Very sturdy - robustly built!     On: 2009-06-04

We purchased this set of training wheels for our daughter who was transitioning from a 12" bike (to small) to a 20" bike (a bit large), but still requires training wheels. This set of training wheels are as described by the seller, heavy duty for sure. We had to file a couple of pieces to fit her 20" Schwin, but overall they were a good solid purchase. About the only negative comment I would make is that they are, like any other set of training wheels, a bit narrow for a 20" bike, so we dont take the corners very fast . They are solid and should outlast our daughters need, once she gains strength and balance.
Much more durable than other training wheels     On: 2009-05-29

These are much more sturdy than most training wheels, which is a very good thing. Like one other reviewer, I had a little bit of trouble installing. I found, that the problem was mostly because the wheel drop-outs on the bicycle frame spread out wide from the wheel when I took the axle nuts off. I solved this by using a clamp to hold the two sides of the drop-out together. The clamp will have to go through the spokes of the rear wheel and squeeze the two sides together. I hope my description makes sense and helps others. The greater strength of this product was well worth the trouble. One other possible solution would be to have a bike shop install a longer axle in the rear wheel, but this would probably cost a little. Good luck and good riding!
Would not fit axle     On: 2009-05-23

Great material and craftsmanship, but the thickness of the guide and the strut did nit leave enough room to reattach the axle nut, so the item was not useable for me. This is just a caution. Make sure there is enough axle to accommodate the guide and strut.
For my Granddaughter     On: 2008-09-03

I looked everywhere in our area for a set of training wheels for my grandaughters bike. The ones that came with the bike were cheep and they fell apart pretty quickly. I found this set on Amazon and sent for it. It will fit any bike from 14 to 20 inches. Thet are well made and very heavy steel and I think they will out last my grandaughters need for them.
Great Training Wheels     On: 2008-01-25

These stabilizers were just what was in order in assisting my young son learn the fundamental of bicycling. Hes building both his leg strenght and his confidence while learning a sense of balance on the bicycle. The training wheels were easy to take out of the box and fasten onto the bicycle with minimum effort.

We have a great time "Dad & Son" peddling about our block!
