![]() Axiom Robson Trunk Bag Black By: Axiom Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 3 More Information Trunk Bag: Thoughtful Design Not only was this bag cheap, it is well made of heavy fabric, w/ 5 of six interior walls of the main cavity featuring thick insulation. Ive never had a trunk bag before and maybe its a common feature, but the fold down panniers are certainly useful. The handle on top holds a jacket to the outside of the bag and the bag fastens simply and securely to the rack. There is a handy map/papers zippered pocket atop the main compartment. There are a couple of handy velcro loops on the side that accept my bulky cable and lock, preserving the space inside the main cavity. All in all, it is a perfect accessory for my day rides of 50 miles or so. Two complaints: there is a handy loop on the back to accommodate a light. It sags and the light more or less aims at the ground. The other thing is that when the panniers are deployed the top layer of flaps doesnt fasten flat against the side of the bag. The lower level flaps secure the stuff in the panniers, but the top flaps just kinda arc out like cowlicks. I would certainly order this again. Its the kind of thing that, given its price point, makes you feel like a savvy shopper. Great Bike Bag I looked around for other trunk bags , by far this was the best value. It holds a lot of gear and is very durable with a lifetime gurantee. It has 5 differnt storage ares along with a carry handle, which makes it convient to take the bag with you. It is easy to attach to the carrier with velcro. The best part of the bag is the large inside compartment, which is insulated and keeps food or water cold for hours. Great Bag at a great price great bag!! I bought this bag about a year ago and have been using it ever since. It fits snugly on my bike rack and doesnt interfear with pedeling. The 2 rollup side panel are convient on changing weather days. We start out in the cool mornings and by midday start removing our layers of clothes. The side panels roll down and the clothes fit nicely inside. The inside of the large compartment is insulated and although it looks like it wont do anthing it does a great job!! We go for long bike ride (3-6 hrs), I freeze 2 bottles of water and make sandwichs, the bottles of water stay frozen for hours. Thus keeping the sandwichs cool. The little back compartment is good for my multi-tool and patch kit. The top compartment holds my gloves and other flat items. The velco straps hold the bag in place, and make easy removel at the end of the day. We sometimes ride in New York City, lock up the bikes and walk the shops. The bag comes off easy and has 2 hand straps that makes it easy to carry. All in all this is a bag well worth the money! I have another bag that is no where as good as this one. I am going to buy another Axiom bag to replace it. |
