![]() Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller By: Baby Jogger Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 63 More Information Love this stroller!! totally loving this stroller. love the canopy, love the ride, love the adjustable seat back, love the folding and folded compactness, love the wheels - not too big and not too small. i even use the safety snaps that many people dont mention, and one person wrote it was very difficult to snap and unsnap when opening and closing the stroller. a trick i discovered was that on my personal stroller the right side was tighter than the left side for snapping it, so as long as i do the right side first its really no big deal, and not difficult to snap. i dont know if each stroller is the same in that sense though. only reasons for 4 stars and not 5 is that my daughter likes to sit straight up so she can see her surroundings but the furthest up the seat goes is still angled, although she is comfortable that way, and that you have to buy the accessories separately. then again, if i had to choose between getting the stroller and the accessories for $350 or getting just the stroller for $230, i guess id probably choose without the accessories. its just a shame that its not included in the $230. love love love it this stroller is everything i was looking for! not too big..yet large enough to hold a bigger toddler . it folds down soo easily. stylish, great manueverability. i love the sun shade! it is one of the only strollers out there with this large of a sun shade! even my husband who insisted on using a $12 dollar umbrella stroller prior to this purchase..now loves this stroller! he said this stroller is "awesome" we take it everywhere. Simply awesome Weve been using our City Mini for 4 months now, and absolutely LOVE it. The only feature you need to know about is the one-handed folding mechanism. Once you see how easy it is to fold, you wont consider any other strollers. When youre juggling a squirmy baby in one arm, its a lifesaver to be able to effortlessly fold the stroller with just one hand. To give you a sense of how compact this stroller becomes when folded, we were able to send it through an airport X-ray machine with no problem. We purchased the car seat adapter and parent console, both of which I would highly recommend. Couple of minor blemishes on what is otherwise an amazing little stroller: 1) The 3-wheeled design isnt as stable as a 4-wheel design, but as long as youre not turning corners at 100 mph, its not an issue 2) With the car seat adapter attached, folding is a little more awkward, but for an older baby who doesnt need the adapter, this is also not an issue. 3) The storage net underneath the seat is on the small side I will also add that this is the lightest stroller we tried out when looking at dozens of different models. All in all, I cant say enough good things about the City Mini. a must for city dwellers I am so in love with this stroller! I actually really hate strollers generally so that is saying a lot. I didnt want to buy one and was just going to use a carrier until he could go in our cheap umbrella stroller at 6 months, but then i threw my back out so that wasnt a choice. I didnt want to spend 1,000 dollars on a stroller, or really even 200, but this stroller was worth it. I love how easy it is to collapse and that I can tuck it away in my small apartment. I love that I can steer it with one hand effortlessly. I love that it can turn in circles in the same space so I can easily manuever it through my front hall AND I can walk up to a door, open it, swing the stroller around, push it through with one hand, and follow it out the door. It is also great for manuvering on crowded sidewalks and small stores. It is light too so I can pick it up over the 2 stairs in my lobby. I suppose the back isnt the most supportive but I think its fine. I actually love how much the seat sways because it helps put my babe to sleep! The only negative thing is that there are no accessories and they are expensive. Once you buy the cup holder and rain cover the stroller actually costs 300 dollars. I love it anyway! still in the box I have been searching for something that will fit in the car, a Dodge Journey, with the third row up. I didnt want just a umbrella. I like to have storage and something substantial. I do already have the Graco Quatro stroller and a Yakima Jogging stroller but both of these require me to put 1/2 the seat down to transport it which takes away seating capacity. I was so thrilled to find this. I will update with pics and a better review once I take it to the zoo, mall and such. Mini Life Saver! I am a thirty year old single father who was looking for a fast, light-weight, reliable stroller for my 21 month old son. This stroller was definitely affordable, but after reading the very few bad reviews I second-guessed my order. When the stroller arrived I was shocked by the simplicity of assembly. The safety features are more than adequate and aside from a little bit of frustration with the adjustable straps on the seat, I am absolutely in love with this stroller. My son loves it too. Its so comfortable that sometimes he wants to sit in it when we watch movies together. When walking, I can easily push this one-handed, walk beside the carriage and maneuver it without any problems. I would recommend this stroller to anyone for affordability, compact/light-weight design, comfort and look. Great Stroller! After doing a lot of research, we came across this stroller, and boy are we glad! Our son is 8 months old and weve used it since he was four months. The sun shade is really great. Some strollers we looked at didnt provide near enough protection. Thise stroller is light, with big enough wheels to handle most surfaces. Our Snap&Go (which we liked, for the most part), would get caught on even small cracks on the sidewalk. The City Mini has been just perfect for us--our friends with other strollers cant believe how easily it folds. We also love that we can move the seat to a totally flat position. Our son often falls asleep in it and its nice to have him be comfortable. The vent feature in back is also nice on hot days (when the back is all the way down). I recommend getting the Parent Console. It fits perfectly and makes it much easier to get to your keys, cell, wallet. Overall great stroller! The price is also much better than many of the other strollers we considered. Great Stroller!!! I love the City Mini!! I have three year old triplets and just had baby #4! I have had 6 other strollers prior to this one and the City Mini is by far one of my favorites! It is so lightweight and easy to open and close! The maneuverability is second to none! I can effortlessly steer with one hand while trying to manage the other three children! The sunshade cover is great since it gives your baby ample coverage and you can also adjust it. The color is wonderful too, I got the green/gray. I would highly recommend this stroller! The only drawback is the basket is not overly large and I am still waiting on the console because I miss the cup-holder option! The childs tray that I bought is also a bit high for my nine month old, but will work great as she gets a bit older! Lightweight, compact and we love the shade Love this stroller. Fits in our trunk and hardly takes up any space. We cant wait to try a few of the accessories. Good all-around stroller I cant believe how expensive strollers can be, but I am happy I went with this one. Baby Jogger has a good reputation for making a safe, long-lasting product so that was one reason I chose the City Mini. Others include the fact it doesnt weigh too much, although I dont break it down to travel with it since my son still has his carseat/snap and go set up. So I cant tell you if that is much of a hassle or not. But if your child is sitting up pretty well, this stroller is a good choice. There is a pouch in the back, like a sleeve, in which I insert chilled gel packs since I live in a hot climate. Your child will sweat against this fabric, it is similar to ballistic nylon used in luggage so it really doesnt breathe much. There is also a mesh pouch for storing other light items and a small storage area under the stroller though frankly I dont know you get anything to fit in there if your child is sitting in it. Another factor is the ride. I use this in my neighborhood where there are some broken sidewalks and rough asphalt and it gives such a smoother ride. The larger wheels keep the stroller from getting stuck in dips, which is great. I dont jog with it, but it is well suited for walking at a good clip, it isnt hard to push at all and my stride length doesnt make any contact with the back of it. All in, I am happy with my choice. I will say that getting your child situated in it might take some time with the straps adjustments, etc. Like others mentioned, he tended to look a bit slumped over but as he has gotten stronger, my child sits up better in it and I have finally found the right strap configuration for him. By the way, the parent console it a necessary addition, especially if you walk for exercise and want an easy place for a drink and cash/keys to go. Two thumbs up! I went to Babies R Us to check out all of the strollers there. The salesman showed me the baby jogger city mini. I have never heard of it, but decided to see everything it offered. It is truly a great stroller. I loved the shade that came all the way down for more protection. The material is weather proof. It drives very smooth and easy to fold up and down. Not to mention the storage underneath is handy as well as the back of the seat. I also bought the snack tray which is a good height for my 2.5 yr old toddler. The big plus is the 16.8 lb stroller. It is very light weight. I had a jogging stroller that weighed about 25 - 28 lbs. The only con is that the description said it was tan/black, and the tan is more like a cacky gray color. I did end up liking the color, but it was different from the picture on the internet. I would recommend this to my family and friends. Easiest fold, light-weight, and good suspension for a great price I did a couple weeks of research before deciding on a stroller. It came down to the MacLaren Quest and the Baby Jogger City Mini. Both are lightweight, compact fold, and push very smoothly. The MacLaren has slightly more modern & appealing styling and adjustable footrest, but has a trickier fold/unfold. I also found the canopy to be too small. I found the oblong, triangular shape when folded awkward to hold and takes up too much space in the cars trunk. I picked the Citi Mini because the fold/unfold is soooo easy, large storage basket & pockets, the huge sun canopy, and finally, full recline. We have had our Citi Mini for 6 months, and I think I could have done without the MacLaren Easy Traveller, much as I loved using it with the Graco SnugRide. Wonderful for tight spaces This stroller is excellent for indoor locations. We first purchased a BOB jogging stroller, but is is really too big to take indoors (except Costco). The city mini is perfect. It folds super easy and is really light for a stoller. We also purchased the City Mini Car Seat Adapter to use it with our snugride carseat. That works well together. My only complaint is the canopy on the city mini wont extend over the carseat. Soon we wont have to worry about that. I would buy this stoller again in a heartbeat. Awesome stroller - wish I had it years ago! We had to find a stroller fast for an upcoming multi-day trip to Disneyland. Our four-year old isnt a huge fan of riding in strollers, but we needed to have one for theme parks and days when were out and about for long periods of time. Our daughter is a tall four year old plus we wanted one that would last a few more years. So looking at the choices in the 50 pound weight limit, the options are limited. After shopping almost daily for two weeks, I mentioned our situation to a co-worker who suggested going back and looking at this one again. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I am so glad we got it. It is a dream! So easy to handle and comfortable for our daughter. She even fell asleep in it one day at Disneyland. She hasnt fallen asleep in her stroller since she was an infant! Umbrella strollers may be lighter weight, but they are also flimsy - even the more expensive ones. This is solid and literally turns on a dime with one hand even when fully loaded with a four year old and stuff in the basket. The only suggestion we would have would be to make the grey safety straps a little longer to make them easier to grasp. But other than that, its perfect! I only wish I had know about it earlier!! Pretty Disappointed I did a lot of research before buying this stroller..it seemed to have everything that we wanted. I can be folded with one hand, which is really great from Mom when shes got her hands full. The Stroller does handle very well also. However, after only 1 year of modest use (Mostly in shopping malls) the fabric began to tear...first on the right side and now on the left. When we contacted Baby Jogger support they were completely unsympathetic..and basically told us to go away. They dont stand behind their products and Ill gladly never buy another product from them... shame too because now we are in the market for an actual Jogger. Lightweight perfection I spent 3 months looking for the perfect lightweight stroller. Perfection for me is - lightweight, smooth ride, aesthetically pleasing, easy to fold/carry, and costs less than $200. Its advertised as 17 lbs but I swear it weighs less than the Quinny Zapp, which is advertised as 13 lbs. Its such a smooth ride, turns on a dime and I am partial to three-wheelers - so that was a pleasant plus. Its great for tall people. I am 5 11" and my husband is 62" and we do not have to hunch over to push. No issues here about kicking the tires while walking either. But, the magic of this stroller is its folding mechanism. It is truly a one hand fold. You just grab the fold strap and thats it. Theres an inconspicuous hook to hold it in place. I promise you that when you experience the fold mechanism, you would fall in love too. I removed a star because it does cost a little more than I wanted to spend on a lightweight/travel stroller and it does not have a cover/carrier. I truly love this stroller. Could be better... I used a carrier until my son was eight months old, and then switched to a stroller. We bought the city mini because I take public transit and some subway stations do not have elevators - I think the folding mechanism is great and its light enough that I could carry the stroller and the baby up stairs. Its easy to steer, and its not very bulky - great if you live in an urban area where space can be an issue (especially on transit). My main complaint is the lack of back support for the baby. My son was hunched over because its so flimsy. Im sure this is fine every once in a while, but every day? I dont think so. I will use it though if Im going downtown and usig the subway, etc. If I were to do it again, I would just get a cheap umbrella stroller for downtown trips, and a stroller with better back support for day to day. I also think its important to have the option for the baby to face you - something I didnt think was important until I actually had a baby. Great Stroller I did a lot of research before purchasing this stroller and everything that was said about it was true. This stroller is probably the easiest stroller to fold and unfold that I have ever used...and it is as simple as pulling the strap and folding it in half just as the video on the Baby Jogger website shows. It is nice and light and easy to load and unload in my SUV. I would definitely recommend getting some of the accessories such as the tray for the child as well as the tray for the parents...I havent yet, but I can see how it would make it even better. LOVE the sun shade too...its perfect. The only con is the storage underneath is a little small...but it does have an additional mesh pocket right behind the seat so that helps. Inaccessible storage and NOT a one step folding system. I am surprised that none of the reviews we read for this mentioned that the folding mechanism requires more than pulling up on the strap/handle. There is also an extra "safety strap" that must first be unsnapped before folding, then re-snapped before using. The instructions warn over and over about using the stroller without the safety strap on. This strap is actually quite difficult to pull tight enough to be able to snap on both ends - a real pain. Also the storage underneath is almost completely inaccessible for all but the smallest items. My wife does not drive, so depends on doing shopping with the stroller, and it is impossible to fit even one grocery bag or small diaper bag in this storage area. There is only a couple of inches below the seat and the storage. How are you supposed to get anything in there? The third complaint is the shoulder straps, which are very difficult to adjust. Many people in their reviews mentioned that their child slouched in this stroller. We did not think this would be an issue, as our child is already 2 years old. However he did not like that position at all. And there was no option to use only a lap belt without the shoulder straps to let him sit up straighter. It looked like there were loops for a waist only belt, but it did not come with this belt, if one exists. It did feel like this would be a very smooth riding stroller, but we never got the chance to try it out outside of the house, because we realized very quickly it would not work for us and are returning it. Love this stroller so much! This stroller is wonderful, light, pretty, easy to open and fold, but the only concern is the small basket. Easy folding, huge canopy, smooth steering. Were very happy with this stroller. Especially the folding cant be any simpler. Just grab the strap and pull it up. Other good things are mentioned in many other reviews, so I wouldnt repeat them all here. But a few minor issues have been raised in other peoples reviews, and I noticed them too. 1) The seat does not have a hard back, so the babys back isnt straight on the seat. This issue can be solved by inserting anything hard and flat through the velcro opening on the back side. I cut off covers of 3-hole binders and put them in there. But I wish the manufacturer had done that. 2) Wheels did squeak. But I solved the problem by putting some lubrication on the axes. Again, it would have been better if they did that in the factory. 3) The seat doesnt go completely upright. But I looked at a few other strollers, and none seemed much more upright than our city-mini. 4) At 17lbs, it isnt too heavy, but not super-light either. It does feel heavy when you have to climb stairs. But Im not complaining about that, because its part of the tradeoff. If you really want a light-weight stroller, you would have to settle for small wheels, poor stability(e.g., Maclarens), a tiny canopy, or a non-reclining seat. All in all, I think we bought the best we could. Amazing Folding Action & Very Light If you are interested in a stroller that folds easily this is the one. Just pull up on the strap and you are good to go. It is also one of the lightest strollers I have seen. Overall this is a great stroller. Some additional features that are notable are: HUGE canopy, VERY easy quick release wheels, simple design, and smooth rolling action. I highly recommend this. Great Stroller This is a wonderful stroller. It is really easy to push with one hand. I do a lot of walking for fitness and I can push it with one hand and walk alongside it. The canopy comes down really far and shades the baby almost any time of day except at sunset when the sun is really low. Ive never felt that the basket was too small. And it is REALLY easy to fold. The only improvement I would make is the handlebar. It would be better if it was designed to extend a little farther out. Sometimes when I am walking I hit the break with my toe because I am walking too close to the stroller. Mixed feelings after exhaustive research I spent months reading reviews and examining in person all the major brands of strollers in preparation for my daughters birth. Now that shes six months old, I wanted to share my thoughts about the ol City Mini. First, we live on the third floor of a walk up apartment, so we were looking for a stroller that was easy to carry, and not super expensive. The easy fold-up action is as advertised, incredibly simple and easier than any other stroller out there. But, it still feels somewhat heavy, and its basically impossible to carry the baby and the stroller at the same time, which we had hoped would be possible when we purchased it. Second, its a little flimsy. Not as bad as the Combi or lighter McClaren models, but a far cry from the Bugaboo. Within a couple of months the wheels started to squeak, and its just not as solid as youd like your babys stroller to be. We were worried about how the seat sways back and forth and doesnt have a hard back, which is still an issue, but we bought a Snuzzler, which has helped a lot. Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, the seat is a little awkward, forcing our baby to sit at an angle, and even when its up all the way, shes still not perfectly upright and tries to move forward more. For some reason the shoulder straps are also nearly incomprehensible to everyone in my family, and weve had trouble adjusting them. Finally, the positive things: I think it looks pretty sleek, its very maneuverable, it is relatively light, and the canopy is awesome, better than any other stroller. So overall, if youre looking for a relatively affordable and light stroller, go for it, but for a longer term investment you might want to shell out the extra cash (...four times as much!?) for a Bugaboo. If I could go it over again, I might do that, and hope that the Bugaboo could survive the stairs going up to my apartment! Great Stroller - buy some key accessories Love the stroller! Had it for a year. There are some accessories that Id recommend... the cross bar, parent console and travel bag (all from the website). If youre going to foldup the stroller and need to have it against a wall or in a closet, definitely check out the website for "stroller stands" (just add a dotcom to the end). perfect all-in-one stroller - this is the only one you'll need to buy! Bought the BJCM a couple months ago when my son was 3 months old. We didnt register for a stroller because I wanted to use the Snap N Go for awhile and see what features were important to me before I bought another stroller. I fully anticipated buying two strollers - one lightweight and one "standard" size, but with the BJCM I think I only need one stroller - it has the heart of a standard stroller with the design and versatility of an umbrella stroller. Assembly was a snap - pop the wheels on and it was really to go! The construction is GREAT - super lightweight, aluminum frame. The one-handed close was the deal-maker - absolutely PERFECT! The sun shade is HUGE. The wheels/shocks are great - perfect for walking in the neighborhood (this is where we use the stroller 90% of the time). Handle height is great - seems to accomodate both me and my husband. Basket is a little small, but functional and acceptable for such a lightweight stroller. We bought the snack tray and rain cover as add-ons - Im a little upset these things dont come with the stroller - especially the snack tray. I really didnt want to spend more than $200 on a stroller, but I made the sacrifice because of all the other features. Overall, Im very impressed with BJCM in the short time weve used it! NOTE: I bought this stroller at a B&M store - got it home and the front wheel didnt lock. Called BJ and they said the locking front wheel was an "in-line running change" for the 2008 models. Strollers made before 4/25/08 DO NOT have the locking front wheel - there is no model# difference or anyway to know other than the manfacture date. So, I had to call the store where I purchased the stroller and exchange it for a newer 2008 model. I think it is a little unreasonable of BJ to make this type of change without any indication or notification to retailers or consumers - especially because the locking front wheel is such an important feature for three-wheel strollers. The Perfect Stroller!! I wish I had known about this stroller when my daughter was younger, shes now 3 and she still likes to ride. She is 36 lbs and 38 in. and has plenty of room and then some. I use the mini for daily walks in the suburbs, visits to the zoo and sea world and to parks. I have 3 dogs we walk daily, at a brisk pace, and one dog that sometimes has to ride in the storage basket. The mini handles all those things well, with flying colors! We frequently walk in construction areas, on cracked sidewalks, uneven driveways, black top, open fields, even gravel. No problem. My girl fits very comfortably, loves the sun canopy (she likes it pulled all the way down and pretends shes in a tent). I did purchase the child tray and parent console both great buys and must haves if you get this stroller. All in all I got the whole thing for under $300.00. Shipping was fast too. This stroller has great handling, is comfortable, stylish, practical in that everyting can be removed for easy clean up. It also has rubber tires that wont pop or have to be pumped up. The fold up is AMAZING and even though it doesnt stand upright by itself its so compact it stowes just about anywhere. I use it so much I only really fold it when we get in the car, and its so much smaller than my previous Graco stroller I hardly even know its there! With my old stroller my hands used to fall asleep half way thru my 3 mile walk each day, but the minis parent handle bar is higher, and I have noticed my hands dont fall asleep anymore. Strange I know. I basically was looking for a stroller that was a combination. 1. A stroller with storage, comfortability and stability- 2. A jogger that could handle alot of street use and a brisk pace- 3. An umbrella stroller, easy to use in places like the zoo or the park but that she could sleep in, and that folded easily. I found all 3 in 1 in the city mini. I cant say enough good things about this stroller. As a single mom I knew I was missing something and it was the city mini! Excellent for those under six feet I am 58" and this stroller is perfect for my height. It is a little short for my husband, who is 62". If youre over 6 foot, I would probably get the regular city which Im pretty sure has an extendable/adjustable handle. It was not in our budget to get the regular city, and my husband can push it just fine as long as he doesnt want to go fast without holding his arms out to give his legs more room. This stroller is one of the best things we could have gotten our 4 month old. The folding mechanism, the reclining seat and the good suspension are wonderful! I love this stroller I was choosing between the City Mini and the Bugaboo Bee, and I am so glad I chose the City Mini instead of wasting all that money. Pros: - Narrow enough to manuever through streets/stores of NYC - Fantastic "ride", very easy to handle, one-hand steering due to single handle bar, "all-terrain" (it can handle snow, grass, etc.) - Really nice sun shade that comes very far forward and has see-through flaps so you can watch your child while you push - Good storage space: I was worried the underbasket would be too small but it has been just fine. I also got a mommy hook and use it to carry groceries or whatever if I need to. The manufacturer says not to (could flip the stroller), but I have had no problems with it. - Fully reclining seat: this was something I really coveted in the bugaboo, and this stroller has the same feature. My son can sleep or even play in the stroller when I fully recline the seat, or sit up straight for walks. - Incredibly easy to close: this was what put the kibosh on the bugaboo for me. Closing nearly drove me to tears. The City Mini requires one hand to close (a great little strap you pull up on and the whole stroller collapses just like that.) - Nice tall seat back: I was worried about this with the bugaboo bee, because the sun shield is attached to the back of the seat, so the seat back is shorter and looks really cramped, and I was afraid as my son got taller he would grow out of it. No such worries with the City Mini. Cons: - You really have to buy the add on console (about $30) to put your drinks/cell phone etc. in. It works well. However, it makes the handlebar a cramped space to attach a diaper bag like the Skip Hop. You can fit it all in, but its just not quite as easy as it was on my Graco snugride. - No car seat attachment. This was something appealing about the bugaboo. I havent actually needed a car seat attachment since I bought the stroller, but I guess if it came up I wouldnt have that option. This is such a great value, and its really pretty, too. I bought the Protect-a-Bub rain cover to go with it, and it fits perfectly, plus the JJ Coles Bundle Me, so in wintry/rainy weather my son is totally warm. All in Ive spent way, way less than the Bugaboo wouldve cost. Wonderful stroller This is the 4th stroller we have had in the search for a perfect stroller and this is the closest yet. It is easy to push with one hand, incredibly easy to fold and has a fantastic huge canopy. It is a bit heavier than a Maclaren but the easy fold and one hand push far compensate for that. This is the only stroller I can take on the bus with my son as others are too complex to fold and carry with a toddler who is usually eagerly trying to run into traffic while I fuss with a stroller! Best stroller for city living I have had this stroller (in orange) since a few months after it came out and we love, love, love it. We can get through stores, on trains and busses, and into small restaurants with this stroller. It folds so compactly it fits behind my refrigerator, under the bed, and even in the overhead compartment of a plane when you take the wheels off. Not to mention it is one of the only strollers that folds compactly, has multiple recline all the way to flat, and pushes easily with one hand. It does have a sling back so its probably not best for a baby who doesnt have good head control. The only thing I dont love about it is the brake system, it isnt as well designed as the rest of the stroller, but its a minor flaw. Did I mention I love this stroller? Jogging Stroller The Mom-to-be was thrilled with this item. As usual, the selection was easy, the shipping fast and reliable. Amazon has become my department store to the world! Great Stroller I love this stroller. Its lightweight, easy to handle and folds fast! My 2.5 year old enjoys the optional snack/drink tray. I also love the extra cover that the sun shade provides. I added the parent drink holder/cooler and its a great extra. Thumbs up!!! Fantastic Ive bought every stroller from the umbrella variety to the ones that include the carseat conversion. This one is FANTASTIC! Its lightweight, easy to fold and can pretty much go over every terrain with ease. Please, save yourself a lot of money and buy this one first. Great stroller with fabulous easy fold! Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RM1MCYP5YI8W A video review of the Baby Jogger City Mini stroller. Perfect for city dwellers, for a newborn and up My baby is seven weeks old and weve been using this stroller since our very first outing. Its the perfect stroller for a city dweller (I live in a fifth-floor walk-up apartment): its compact shape when folded means I can store it in a corner of a hallway and it doesnt tilt or fall down; its not too heavy, so I can actually carry it up and down the stairs; the wheels are sturdy enough to deal with brick sidewalks, broken sidewalks, uncut curbs, and construction sites; the handle is usable by people of vastly different heights (Im 5 2" and my husband is 6 4" and we both find it comfortable to push) and can be pushed one-handed much more easily than a two-handled stroller; the turning radius is good and the width is not excessive, so I can actually get it onto subways, in and out of tight elevators, down narrow city shop aisles, and in and out of doorways. I got a padded, fleece insert from another manufacturer to help cradle my newborn, but my baby seems very comfortable in the seat; when reclined all the way, the seat goes to 140 degrees, which is perfectly acceptable for newborns. Theres no need to use a travel system or a carseat and dedicated carseat-stroller frame when you have this stroller--it will take us all the way to age three! Why did I ever bother with the "travel system"? Oh, my! Why didnt I find this stroller sooner? I had the Graco travel system stroller, the umbrella stroller, etc. until I found the City Mini. This is the greatest, easiest to fold, lightweight thing I have ever seen. Turning is so easy, I can still steer one handed (not with an umbrella stroller), easy to get in/out of the vehicle. I cannot rave about this enough. My tray attachment doesnt fit that well, but that could just be a single user issue. I highly recommend this! Best Stroller Ever! The Baby Jogger City Mini is the best stroller I have ever used. It is lightweight even with baby in stroller. It has the best folding technology on the market. I only wish I found it when my son was born because I would have baught the pran accessory. I have used this stoller on grass, gravel, bumpy sidewalks, and it has done great! This stroller can be customized to fit each individual need. Also, the shade is truly amazing and keeps my son covered at ALL times of the day! I recomend this stroller to anyone who needs one both as a mom and daycare owner. Best Stroller on the Market Today I have looked eveywhere for a stroller like this one. I have 3 kids, and I only wish I could have found this stroller 8 years ago! I have owned over 15 strollers throughout the years, and tested HUNDREDS, and this is by far the best! It folds easily and is relatively small, yet it unfolds into a very substantial stroller. It uses top quality materials, and does not skimp on important things like comfort. The canopy is one of the very best I have ever seen. I dont need to add an additional stroller cover for a day in the sun. It is even large enough to protect my little one from a light rain shower. Also, my standard stroller rain cover fit it perfectly, so I did not have to purchase the more expensive one that is made for the jogger. The wheels are a nice size, but not so large that the stroller is bulky when folded. I read a review that the front swivel wheel does not lock, however, I just received mine today, and it indeed does lock. Also, there is a clip to lock the stroller together once you close it up, another feature that I had seen noted as missing on the MANY reviews I read. SO maybe Baby Jogger has been making changes to make this stroller even better. The only improvements I could ask for would be to have the stroller stand on its own (it will stand at an angle however), have a larger basket (this one is not bad, and you do have the additional behind the seat storage), an adjustable handlebar (but so far it is very comfortable for me at 53", and my husband at 63", to push.) I would also love to see some more fun colors (teal, pink, mango). None of these things would deter me from buying though. Compared to what else is out there, the City Mini is about as perfect a stroller as you will find anywhere. Lightweight, extremely easy to fold and push, comfortable, and really great quality. You will be so glad you bought this one. I plan to give mine a good workout at Disney VERY soon!! easy to handle but may not very comfortable for your baby Its very easy to fold and superb to turn around and joggling; the only complain I have is that the back support is kind of soft and your baby basically crouch in it. Please read for safety concern Ive finally used this stroller and overall Im happy with it. Pros: great handling, smooth ride, compact, amazing one handed folding mechanism, lightweight, good for city dwellers, huge cover that actually keeps sun out of babys eyes, modest price. Cons: THIS IS IMPORTANT: when baby is fully reclined this stroller is very easy to tip backwards. Please be extra cautious when going up a step or a steep incline. Also, keep in mind older siblings like to pull or hang from the handle bars and could easily tip the whole stroller over. And dont hang bags from the handle bars. While the seat does fully recline, the mechanism is a real pain. You have to depress the spring clasp and move it along a nylon cord while keeping baby steady in the position you want her in--this means you have to put on the brake and support baby with your shoulder or knee until you can move the clasp to desired position. Lastly, the basket is small and you cant access it when baby is reclined. I cant really comment on how great the stroller is as I havent used it yet--baby due in a few weeks. I can comment on the customer service. I purchased stroller at local store and it came all assembled in box. There was a small snag/run in the fabric seat so I called the store. They had me call Baby Jogger directly. I told them the issue and they sent me out a brand new seat which arrived just a few short days later--no other questions asked. Seems like great customer service to me. Customer service review only I cant really comment on how great the stroller is as I havent used it yet--baby due in a few weeks. So i feel qualified to rate this as ive had a bugaboo frog (cannot believe i got sucked into the hype), quinny buzz (huge/wide/34 lbs!), peg perego pliko (huge, nightmare to steer, and plasticy), mac volo (just not enough stroller for my 10 month old), and bob rev (too much jogger for my needs). SO i finally am in stroller HEAVEN with this. Its light, dream to push, cool looking, small enought to manuver at mall/stores, good for neighborhood walks, canopy ROCKS (seriously), and the storage is awesome. It is lacking a cupholder so i bought the sunshine kids buggy caddy which is amazing. I will be buying the city double when we have baby #2. I cannot believe this stroller only cost $200- others at this price are horrible! Get this from the start with the car seat adaptor and youre set!!!!! GET IT you will love it, i have the black but love the colors too! Great Stroller!!! I purchased this stroller for my 7 month old 2 weeks ago. It very compact once folded and easy to maneuver. The visor/canopy is very well constructed and screens my daughter form the sun very well. There are too many highlights for me to list My only faults with the stroll are: 1. The under carriage storage is very limited 2. The seating area lacks adequate support for the childs back 3. A cup holder would have been a nice added feature Best Decision Ever! After taking months reviewing many different strollers and considering countless different brands, we finally decided on the Baby Jogger City Mini. We considered the Bugaboo Bee, the Bob, Mountain Joggers and so many more. This seemed to stand in a league of its own. Quality construction. Super easy fold and unfold. Lightweight. The price is VERY reasonable. You cant go wrong with this one. great fold pros great fold, compact, sun canopy, weight, attachments cons the seat does not sit up all the way, when the baby is in the recline position the stroller may fall back if there is somthing in the seat back pocket it happened once , it may not last more then 5 years thats the impression i get after 2 months . Hmph! I wish I could rate it higher (its a nice design), but I have a problem with mine and with Baby Jogger. The 2008 City Mini I received has all the major components for the front wheel assembly to lock in the forward position (second hole for the locking pin and a working lever that raises and lowers the cross support for the locking pin). However, the locking pin was not included! Upon requesting the missing locking pin, I was turned away by two different people at Baby Jogger. Heres the latest response I got from them: "The Mini wheels have always had the gray lever and the two holes. The larger hole is so the wheel can connect to the frames wheel axle, and the rear hole was left empty with no locking pin. As the City Mini is not a jogging or running stroller, there is no standard requirement or mandatory reason why the front wheel of the Mini must have the swivel/lock feature. Therefore, for specific reasons- one to keep the Mini at a certain price point, we did not initially add this feature to the City Mini." Why include all the major components for a given feature and leave out - and refuse to provide upon request - a simple, but necessary pin? I frankly feel misled and feel that Baby Joggers customer service is poor at best. Buyer/consumer beware! Love it I love my stroller. We arrived in Japan in April to be stationed here for three years. The cars here are extremely small so my old stroller did not fit. Since I have ordered this stroller life has been so much easier. It is so easy to handle and goes everywhere. I was a little worried about how small the wheels were at first but it really has no problems on my workouts. It folds up really small and it is so light my 5 year old can carry it. The best part is how much the covers blocks the sun. It comes really far down to block everything. The only downfall is that it does not come with a cup holder but you can order one with it. All and all this is one of the best investments ever. I love it. Great Lightweight Stroller I really like this stroller because its so lightweight. It couldnt be easier to collapse and it doesnt take up a lot of room in the car. The straps are really easy to adjust. The bright blue color is beautiful - I get a lot of comments from strangers when I am out. The negatives are that the basket underneath is virtually useless and theres no cupholder or tray for the child (you have to buy them separately). Also, I wish there was a wider range of recline. I think my son would like to sit up a little straighter. Great Design! This is a great stroller, we loved it! My son is enjoying the ride! Things we loved about this stroller are easy fold, canopy that covers my son and seat recline to full flat. We are not used to using a cup holder on a stroller so it didnt matter to us. Over all this is a great design and extremely easy to use stroller with fairly good price. not a perfect stroller but great for what it is after searching high and low, we finally found this great stroller. biggest selling point for us was the quick fold, however now that weve used it, also priceless is that its very comfy for our 7-month-old. a smooth ride for her, with great sun coverage and seat reclining possibilities, and its also easy for us to push, two tall parents. downsides: it tips back easily, especially when a diaper bag (such as skip hop) is attached to the handles; it also doesnt stand up on its own when its folded, it kind of falls over. overall, this is amazing value! as for seller, it took us a long time to receive the stroller, even though the listing said it was "in stock". Love it .... only My husband and I have been using this stroller for 6 months now and love it. We both have a long stride and hate it when you are walking along and then step on the wheel or brake, not a problem with this stroller. our only complaints about this stroller are that the back does not sit up straight enough for our 10month old so he is always holding himself forward by the sides and that the back can be hard to put up from a reclined position. But over all this has been an awesome stroller and we always get lots of comments from strangers when we fold it up in public. Dont know why everyone doesnt have one. Great stoller for Small countries We are currently living in Japan and needed a stroller that would suit several different needs. I needed a stroller that I could take out exercise with and that was also sturdy. We also needed a stroller that was not oversized. This stroller is all that, we can take it on the trains and it is not cumbersome and overly large. The recline feature is great for all day trips and diaper changing. A very smooth ride and very easy to handle, just like a Maclaren stroller. We love it and so does our daughter!!! Great stroller, would be perfect if child sat in better position. I love almost everything about this stroller - it truly is lightweight and compact, folds amazingly easily and is great to push. I took it on an international plane flight and it was excellent. The sun canopy is awesome and probably my favorite feature. It would be a perfect stroller if only it sat my 11 month old son in a better position. He always looks as though he is slumped and not supported properly at the back. I think this is because the distance from the back/bottom to the knees is not quite long or deep enough. Its ok if I recline the seat back for him, but he never sits up in an upright position properly. He doesnt seem to mind the position, but it looks uncomfortable and feeding him snacks in the stroller is a bit of a disaster when his chest is like a little table to rest things on. That said, I do like the stroller and think it is a great all-rounder. Excatlly what I was looking for The only thing I wish for this stroller is that it had a bigger basket. Other than that, I really needed it to be VERY compact but not feel compact. It fits in my trunk and leaves a lot of room for everything else. Very comfortable. First day out and the baby napped like a champ! Folds as easy 123, and looks great! great canopy! SUPER easy to push with one hand. Wish they would have made this stroller years ago! We love this stroller! It is the easiest to fold and unfold, so light it is unbelievable, handles like a dream. It is the first stroller my stroller-finicky 10 month old has fallen asleep in. I dont have one bad thing to say about this stroller! I did love the other City version, the Elite even better, but with my bad back and very small trunk, this was the best way to go for me. I will thankfully be able to garage sale both of my rickety and cheaply made Peg Peregos! Wish they would have made this one years ago! We love this stroller! It folds super easy and is really small when you take off the wheels. We took it for a road trip and a couple of international flights with many transfers and worked very well in both scenarios. We keep it in an Ikea tire bag when we need to pack it away (e.g. on the plane), it fits well once the wheels are off. And you can also open it with one hand. Love it. I also found out from the BabyJogger customer support that the 2007 car seat adapter works with it even though they dont list this model for that adapter.
