![]() Ergon Race Grips Small Twist Shift By: Ergon Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 7 More Information TOO SMALL The product is OK, but I boutght the SMALL for my wife supposing it was adequate... the size of the ERGON SMALL is too small... for childrens bikes. Night And Day These are much more comfortable on my Xootr than the original sponge grips and also look good. Installation was easy and very precise. I am purchasing a set for my bicycle as well. A big improvement in comfort I bought these to add to my Cannondale "Comfort" bike. They are a great improvement over the stock grips and are extremely comfortable. Im saving my pennies to get another set for my other bike. Ahhhhhhh.... I commute a bit over 25 miles a day so I try to set up my commuter bike to be good in all sorts of conditions and to be as comfortable as possible (without getting to Fred-like). Used to get numbness on rides with the regular grips. Not good.... made shifting gears difficult because after 30 minutes on the bike Id lost feeling in my hands. Since I purchased these grips, the numbness is gone. The larger area for the palm distributes the pressure more widely. Greatly improved my comfort and eliminated the numbness problem. An added benefit was that the surface is of a type of rubber that gives good traction when wet, so I have good control in the rain or when my hands are dripping with sweat in the summer. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for my commuter bike, (and Ive tried about everything out there.) Id give these grips a 6 if that were possible. Had them for almost 2 years now. Will never have a bike without them. Just what I need for the Trikke Most bought this for the bicycle, but I am into trikke. It is a three-wheeler human powered vehicle and has handlebar similar to a bicycle. Because of the body and arm movement to propel the trikke, it requires both hands to be on the handlebar at all times when riding. The Ergon grip GR2L is just perfect because it supports the wrist very well. Superb Bike Grips Purchased these and installed them. Was skeptical about the manf claims, but not now. Theyre brilliant. Pros: absolutely bullet-proof construction, they eliminate any hand numbness, improve grip when seated, and the bar ends are amazingly effective when I stand to pedal. Cons: instructions should be clearer, more illustrations. Recommendations: once installed, on your first ride take an allen key with you. Very small adjustments were needed to get the grips at the right angle for me. Works! Couldnt be happier with these. Actually, I now ride without gloves! These hold my wrists at a good angle, the grips are just the right amount of sticky, and I just finished a 13+ ride through the swamps with plenty of roots, swoops, drop offs, fast and slow areas. No, problems with my hands what so ever. The wifes jealous and Im buying a set for her bike. These things work and probably should be standard equipment. |
