I bought this lock at a retailer just because I need something to lock up my bike inside at work (high security place with cameras at all exits, so I didnt need a 5lb Krypto chain). Id recommend looking for something a little more heavy duty because I left the keys in my friends car yesterday (long story) and I decided not to lose a weekend of riding. It took 5 seconds to cut through the kevlar and wire with a pair of simple wire cutters. If I had a better tool, Im sure one snap would have "liberated" my custom bicycle which is worth about $1500. Yes, its time to get smart and 1.) buy a better lock; and 2) keep the set of 3 keys in different places...

If you like losing all your posessions, this lock is for you! Not only does it optimize thievery, but it also gives you that invaluable false sense of security that everyone longs for!

Seriously, I used this lock to chain up my custom hand built single speed bike. 3 month build, 700 in components. Last night, thief came in, picked/cut the lock, and took my bike.

Worthless. Bell should pay for my bike.
