Reviews Why do they even manufacture this lock?  by: on: 28-Sep 2009 Same story as the other guy. My bike was stolen in about 10 seconds in broad daylight. I didn't read the part about it being only a lock for accessories. I do remember noting that it was rated 3 (out of 7?) for security. But I figured I would be only locking my bike in the daytime in public places. It didn't matter, obviously. TKO LIQUIDATORS THE WORST SELLER by: on: 19-Aug 2009 PURCHASING THE LOCK FROM "TKO LIQUIDATORS" THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE ON AMAZON. I RECEIVED A ITEM COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE PICTURE ON THE WEB AND WHEN I CALLED THE SELLER,GUESS WHAT THEY SAID TO ME,A MAN TOLD ME TO HAVE MY LAWYER TO TALK TO HIM. AFTER THAT HE HUNG UP MY CALLS WHEN I CALLED, I WAS NOT THAT ANGRY SINCE HE CALLED ME "TOUGH GUY" ,BUT I HERE TO WARN YOU DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM "TKO LIQUIDATORS" . not as shown by: on: 03-Jul 2008 ordered this lock specifically due to connector size shown. Item sent is not the same with much larger connector. Does not fit bike bag. Good for what it's designed for  by: on: 22-Dec 2007 First, let's be clear: like any cable lock, this is NOT meant to securely lock a bike. The product tag says it well: "perfect for accessory lock-up or use as a secondary deterrent". This is designed to lock things like your helmet to your already-U-locked bike, or to lock your wheels/bike to the wall inside your also-locked garage at home. As such, I give it 4.5 stars, especially on sale. The cable, although fairly thick, is flexible and robustly coated so it doesn't scratch/rust; the resettable combo lock is nicely streamlined into the cable, and it's straightforward to change the combo with the lock open. My single 1/2-star quibble is that this model doesn't come with a tube mounting bracket, as do the higher-end Kryptonite cable locks. View All ReviewsView All Locks |
