For over 12 years now, Argon 18 bikes have been known and respected by Montreal cyclists. Owned and operated by Gervais Rioux, former Olympian and Canadian champion cyclist.

The Platinum is the newest bike from Argon 18. The frame is built from pre-molded carbon lugs which are glued to carbon tubes. The tubes are manufactured by using a blowing process, which allows for variations in tubes thickness. This reduces the weight of the frame. The lugs are constructed through a high pressure milling process that allows for precision and resistance. The frame features an integrated 1 1/8" headset system. The weight of the frame is 1295 grams and it retails for $1,750.

The Helium was introduced earlier this year and was the precursor to the Platinum. The frame is almost identical to the Platinum with the exception that an external headset is used and that this frame is slightly heavier at 1395 grams and retails for $1,125..
