BOB trailers started in 1991. It all started with the need for a versatile,
light weight rig for transporting "stuff" on a bike: tools,
camping gear, groceries, etc. They took an old, unrideable beach cruiser
bicycle and created a single wheel trailer.
BOB Trailers was showing off their new suspension trailer called the
Ibex. The trailer will be available in spring of 2002 and will have three
inches of travel. The trailer will use an rear shock that will be adjustable
for loads between 15 and 70 pounds. "The shock keeps the wheel from
bouncing, making the trailer much easier to pull," said Roger Malinowski,
BOB's president.
Damping will provide a softer ride for the trailers loads. Clearance
has been increased for the added suspension. The Ibex will use the same
mounting system as BOB's Yak and Coz trailers.
