Foes Racing

Brent Foes has over 25 years experience in structural design and fabrication. For the past 10 years he has been committed to manufacturing full suspension bikes and components. For 2002 Brent and company has once again upped the ante for what defines a full suspension bike. All Foes are hand built in the USA.

This is the Foes FXR Prototype. It has a similar design to the 2002 FXC. This bike was build up with mostly XTR components. It had the look to be a lightweight cross country race ready bike.

The highlight of the bike was the rear shock which featured a custom titanium coiled sprung shock. There are no details when this new bike or rear shock will be available.

The DHS Mono was race torture-tested during the 2002 race season. It is constructed using the foes monocoque construction and is combined with an Easton down-tube. The frame is fully active using a single pivot swingarm combined with the floating disc brake. The floating disc brake is designed to help the bike stop faster and prevent suspension lock out while braking.

The rear shock is Curnett XTD shock. It features an externally adjustable threshold dampening, position sensitivity with bottoming control, and rebound damping with dual stage control. The DHS Mono has 8.5-9" of travel and weighs10.9 pounds.

The DHS Tube has a lighter main frame the mono. It features the same Foes Swing Link as found on its big brother, but with a lower price. The frame has been reinforced with gussets and has the same geometry and handling as the Mono. The DHS Tube has 8.5-9" of travel and weighs 9.3 pounds.

The Zig Zag is a dual slalom frame that has an adjustable rear suspension easily changed to meet each course. The travel is adjustable from 3.5" to 4.5" to 5.5". the frame is monocoque constructed from aluminum. The Zig Zag weighs 7.9 pounds.
