Moots has been quietly building top titanium frames for over 20 years. Two bikes in their booth caught our eye: the smoothie and the VaMoots YBBeat.

The Smoothie was new for 2001 and has remained mostly unchanged for 2001. The frame uses what Moots calls "Matched Arc". The different radius arcs created by the pivot locations and the travel paths are so closely aligned, there is no need for a dropout pivot. The result is increased simplicity, no extra pair of tiny pivots, less pedal induced bobbing and greater power transfer to the rear wheel in a fully active rear suspension.

The VaMoots YBBeat was designed with the same geometry and exceptional road manners as their VaMoots, the YBBeat takes it a step further by offering ¾" of silky smooth, pivotless suspension travel. The 3.4 lb. frame dampens harsh vibrations without robbing your power.
