Rotor Systems

ROTOR system is composed of cranks, chainrings, and bottom bracket, and it is available both in MTB and road versions. It is all state-of-the-art engineering developed for the sport of cycling. The ROTOR system makes cranks independent, so that the angle between them is no longer fixed at 180º, but variable during a cycle. This avoids a sharp decrease in power delivery at dead centers and optimizes leg muscles work, while reducing knee stress.

The new RCK (ROTOR Concept Kit) is the last generation of ROTOR systems: it is a set of cranks, chainrings and axle, that fits all standard bottom brackets and frames. Using circular chainrings and varying the angle between cranks, RCK achieves optimized pedaling biomechanics. It eliminates dead centers, keeping the benefits of ROTOR pedaling but using a lighter, more compatible mechanism.

Synchronization of the independent cranks is achieved through a set of joints: chainrings are driven by a star which is centered on an axis parallel to the pedals axle and ahead of it, so that cranks push the star. When turning, the effective crank arm varies, producing the desired variation in transmission ratio during a cycle. This layout obtains the desired angle variation and a favorable power curve, with an optimized pedaling. Adaptation is quick, with relevant advantages for cyclists’ physiology, namely muscle and knee health.

-Adaptable to any frame.
-Weighs 1.200g
-Racing look.
-Comparable price/quality of Dur-Ace or XTR
-UCI legal in competition

ROTOR system increase the performance of cyclist. Not only riders achieve higher speeds at a given level of effort, but pedaling is also more comfortable, risk of injury is decreased and recovery is faster. The Universities of Ferrara (Italia), Valladolid and Zaragoza (Spain), have performed tests with the cranks and have concluded the following:
+16% increase in power
-15% reduction of lactates
-5% reduction of heart rate
